Letsencrypt & Namecheap SSL

I just got a fresh domain and hosting and I was not even paying attention because I'm with NameCheap since 2012 and I'm sure it was always free SSL (I might be wrong), and as order details hit my mail, there was no SSL included in all these.

The thing is, it is not a problem to pay extra $5.88/yr but, if I could get it for free, why not

Now, I know that I could use Cloudflare for free but NameCheap clearly says "we gonna have issues" - 5/6/2020.

Another option is the LetsEncrypt SSL certificate.
LetsEncrypt is free and the only thing we have to do is to install it once again every 90 days.

What are your experiences with LetsEncrypt?

Is it true that there is a possibility that everything we do on our site will maybe disappear one day because as far as I saw, some people never has a problem while others have it, in a week, a month or after 6 months or as I wrote some have no problems at all?
I want to see what your experiences are so far?

And this will be leftover for everyone else who comes and is not lazy to do a little searching on BHW about this.
Btw I did my research but NameCheap updated their "thing" just a month ago and there is nothing new after that, at least I didn't found it.

LetsEncrypt works fine for several projects I run now. The only problem I had is Centos 6 I used for one of my project. LE almost stopped supporting old OS.
Install it on Debian/Ubuntu to have less potential issues with future updates.

I use Let’s Encrypt on the most of my sites, my hosting setups it automatically with no need to update manually and had no issues so far. For large projects I would go with paid SSL.

If you submit lets say an app on amazon as website... Lets encrypt wont do as you need a proper certificate. It depends on your usage but most of the time, free ssl is good if you are not running some serious ecommerce business.

Most of the time Let's Encrypt is more than enough.

I use it on all my websites and my hosting provider supports it (auto-update etc).

Big eshops, famous brands and applications are the ones (as far as i know) that should aim for something more serious than Let's Encrypt.

These days, there's no reason to use anything other than letsencrypt.

Users don't care who issued your ssl certificate, and it's just as secure as a cert you'd get from namecheap, except it's free.

I have on all my project Let's Encrypt with auto update (Certbot Auto-Renewal) so i don't need to take care by myself. And I have all my wh project domains with namecheap and use for all of them the CloudFlare SSL ( SSL/TLS encryption mode is Full) and had never problems with CF or NameCheap.

Certbot is there to renew Lets Encrypt in every 60 to 90 days. And it is free too.
All you have to setup it for once with macros.
just search in google, you would found a guide about it.

I use Let's Encrypt on all of my websites.

You can automate the Let's Encrypt SSL renewal in your Namecheap Cpanel. Someone in this forum shared a method before.

Well what a turn of events, hm...

I just woke up, it's 2:40 am and I'm still at my first coffee lol

I got free SSL for the first year but you can't see that, wonder why...?
