I have just developed a authority entertainment site. I have started doing white hat Seo on the site. I have also started doing some social marketing on twitter and facebook.

I have seen some numbers of traffic increases but not many clicks; keep in mind the site is only about a month old. However I am looking to jump start the site in a sense of getting people to share links and helping it go viral.

I was considering google adwords for selected keywords, safe paid to click campaigns or maybe pop under ads from related sites.

My main focus is getting the site traffic and people seeing the site, I am pretty proud of the design, functionality and ease of access.

Just trying to get some insight before I fool around with different things and waste money. Thanks :)

How black hat are you looking to go?

There's a good plugin for sale here that will automatically like the site on Facebook, thus sharing it with all the users friends, as soon as they click a link on your site.

All depends on just how black or white hat you want to go.

Im not afraid to get a lil dirty, but I monetize the site with Google adsense so I am being careful in that regards.

I have seen a pluggin like that before, thanks for the suggestion.

before spending any more money, think of the flow of the people coming to your site. Does it let people easily click, are your hotspot's in locations that work?

I like using print media for my authority site, it's an extra boost that does not cost to much. For example: If you deal in 1967 mustangs, then in the used auto classified's run ad saying " www.mysite.com" 1967 mustang info .... what this does in AUTOMATICALLY bring in a qualified visitor, ( 90% of these people will be the people that visit 1 time every week ).

These qualified visitors convert nicely to well promoted products that you present clearly. They want a) proof that the item works b) that it's a reasonable price c) that it's been tested.

the guys that advertise on my sites love that the conversion rate is extremely high on the 3rd visit from a consumer from my site ( None of my advertisers have advised me that I have 1 click conversions, they say most people convert on the 3rd time they visit from my links )

Thanks for the input. I have a entertainment site that deals mostly with music and matters of the such, so not sure how I can apply that. However, its good info and will look into it. thanks again
