Journey to make $100/day from IOS & Android apps

Thank you, mainly in the utilities and business categories. small apps that do specific small things.
1) Can you give some examples - Not your apps.

Any apps that inspired you to start this journey.

2) If these apps are not used often as they do specific things, how much revenue can you generate per app ?
You might need a lot of apps to reach your target ?

3) What's your Development cost for an App from Upwork.
Thinking - Revenue ( Apple takes a Percentage ) so you might need a lot of investment to create many apps.

It depends on your goal, are you trying to make money now or trying to follow your "passion" by creating amazing apps? for me I am doing it purely for money, and I 100% copy currently successful apps, all the apps I made are copies of existing apps.
for the editing and finishing all of those copied apps, did you also do it on your own or do you hire devs at upwork

following! goodluck, i may be late reply, but I'll do this too, escaping my day job and start my own business.

How much do you spend on the freelancers, and how long does it take to finish a single app? I see the rates on Upwork are anywhere between $35 per hour to $90 per hour and above . Does that mean lots of hundreds of dollars just for one app?
I hire freelancers from 3rd world countries, I cannot afford to hire from the U.S.
I am extremely un-organized and not sure how much is the average, but I hire a freelancer to do specific feature, then add another feature... until the app is finished.

Looking at my bank account, so far I spent aroun $1,400 on Upwork, this is equivelant to 6 apps cost, so $1400/6 = ~$230

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer with so much detail. Do you have any coding skills yourself? Or do the freelancers do everything?
Thanks again.

What exactly do your developers do? Above, you said that you copy other apps. So do your workers kind of reskin them? Again, how long does it for an Android app?
I don't reskin apps, I developer them from scratch.
So lots of you asking same question, let me give an example of how it goes.

Let's say I saw an that helps with budgeting and they're doing will and want to develop the same app, then I will think about the bare minimum functionality of the app and then post a job on Upwork as follows:
"
I am looking for android who can create a simple budget app, the app has the following features:

1. Home screen: User can add/edit/delete expense
2. Contact us page: when they click that, their Gmail app will open and send us an email
3. Handling 1 simple in-app purchase, if user didn't purchase the app, then we show ads(you don't need to worry about the ads, we will do that on another contract)

This should be done in 1-2 weeks(please let me know if it takes more and why?)
Budget is $100 for this job, if you're not comfortable doing this job for $100 please don't apply
"

Then I will look through proposals and see who is reliable and then start with them, after they finish it, maybe I will add another $20 milestone that will ads ad-mob in case user is on free...etc

as you can see, it's a hussle, negotiation and so on, there is no curriculum for doing everything.

You're welcome, I am a web developer and do the server side, also I can read the android code and change texts here and there, but my freelancers handle pretty much everything.
Also, I hire people not because I can't do the job, I can learn android dev, but because I am lazy and will procrastinate, but if you hire somebody then they will send updates, ask questions...etc that makes you focused.

I copy other apps' functionality, I don't resking their code. the code is 100% mine and written by the freelancers I hire.

I answered your 1, 3 points above, please look.

as for the revenue, I will look at stats and update you all today.

Thanks.

Update about the current revenue:

So, as I said in previous posts, we depend 100% on in-app purchases for now and so far made $896 this month in 17 days
That means we are averaging around $52/day which is absolutely great, because I am 50% of my goal this year which is making $100/day from google and apple stores

Also we're averaging around $4/day from apple store, which is sad considering I thought I would make more there, hence my nick name :)

In total daily revenue:
$56/day

I can't wait to reach consistent $100/day

Impressive, keep it up!
What's the net profit of that $800 ? do you run free apps with IAP ?

Very motivational my good sir. I am a junior web & mobile developer who just quit a good paying job and now trying to figure out what the heck I will do with my life. I think finishing up my ideas and trying to make money with apps could be a better path for me to take than a Amazon Affiliate blog or drop shipping site in which I have done in the past and had a bit of success, but my online earnings went from $700 per month to maybe $1 lol. Good luck to you on your journey!

One thing I was wondering is why not just use React Native or Flutter instead of Android Studio with Kotlin?

Another thing I was wondering, what is the process of setting up in-app purchases?

How many apps you have currently?
Is this earning cumulative from all apps?
Or some apps perform better?

Can you recommend good Upwork workers/developers that are smart and good enough?
