As the title says I've started this journey as a newbie creating websites, 3 days ago.
Start thinking about making some online stream revenue since my offline business is down with this covid-19 virus.
Got inspired by some quiz type journeys here on BHW.
My website its not 100% quiz, with have some articles in "curios facts" niche.

My goal is small, I'm learning so is to make 1$ - 5$/day.

What I have done:
1 - Got a domain + 1 year hosting on godaddy
2 - Setup a responsive boombox theme
3 - Setup all front and back end
4 - Added SSL w/ Cloudflare
5 - Integrated the website to GSC
6 - Setup Yoast premium plugin
7 - Setup Mailchimp
8 - Setup Gtranslate (For some reason on day 2 stopped working)
9 - Setup social share buttons for easy facebook and twitter share
10 - Setup MonsterInsights to get an ideia about my traffic.
11 - Added 10 articles with 500 - 1000 words.
Note: All I've done until now was by watching Youtube tutorials and trying by myself.

What I am working on for next days:
12 - Speed up the website, currently is 3 seconds loading but I want faster.
I want to integrate wp rocket + wp super cache + wp smush

13 - I have no idea about SEO - I know I said that i had yoast setup but its a automatic thing in Wordpress managed hosting + I got premium plugin online.
I have 0 knowledge about PBN's backlinks and stuff and I have no ideia how to learn it.
I'm using the easy share buttons to share my articles in some facebook related groups to get some initial traffic.

14 - Fix some small details I will probably in the website.

Now I need some tips from you guys, on about to get traffic and improve my website dev skills.
I had no dev skills when I started this 3 days ago, my college specialization is in Law, Criminology and in real state has my offline company.

The ideia here is to understand how things works and establish a low online stream income.
I will be really grateful for any tip.

Thanks,
anotherjarveeuser

UPDATE:

Through cloudlfare analytics got 101 unique visitor and 955 page sessions in last 24 hours

You sound like you have a plan, but i think you should set your goals a little bit higher, as for the SEO part you should search for bhw guides there are plenty hq seo guides here.

Also gl with your journey.

Cloudflare analytics are wrong stick to Google Analytics and good luck
Testing rn, thanks.

I've put such small goals for having no experience with this.
Need to check more SEO

Looks like a solid start, now just get that load time under a second, keep pumping out content and start promoting site anywhere you can!
As long as you studied your niche and keywords well you can definitely beat your goal fast!

UPDATE: Published some articles in some facebook related groups.
Its not easy, most of them do not accept articles from 3rd party websites

Got a facebook group with 500k members on a related niche asking for 20$ a month and I can post as many times I want.
Should I accept?

The result:

I'm also facing a similar problem in attracting visitors to my quizzes. Facebook also blocked one of the domains I was using yesterday even though I wasn't spamming it in groups much.

I've tried FB ads but paying 0.02 per visitor is not a good ROI.

$20/mo is nothing for unlimited posts.

I think the way you're trying to post in groups isn't good though. You can't just turn up and post a link to your site.

You need to participate in groups and share stuff on known websites, then slip in your own website every so often.

If you just join a group and post something to an unknown site it looks like pure spam.

BUT.

You've picked an awful awful niche for a beginner.

A quiz site is better for someone with money and experience who can build funnels and monetize through a ton of different ways.

You want a high ticket item. I would avoid affiliate marketing if you're using free traffic methods. Affiliate marketing actually better for people with more experience.

As a beginner you should create your own product. Identify a niche where people have a problem and are willing to pay for a solution. Then either create your own solution, or pay someone to create a solution.

Then, when you're on facebook groups, you're actively trying to help people and present yourself as an authority. You will even get people adding you personally.

You then build an email list.

You want a product between $147 and $1997 depending on the product. Less than $147 is a complete waste of time unless it's an upsell, or you're lower the price on a downsell.

You make more with higher ticket items. For example. If 1 in every 100 people will buy a $1997 product, then 10 wouldn't buy a $199 product, and 100 won't buy a $19.97 product. It's easier to sell a $2k product to 1 person, than a $20 product to 100 people.

You can also afford to spend more time on the right people. Your list becomes more valuable. You can start to buy advertising. Do webinars etc.

And imagine, if a $20 product is a waste of time, then affiliate marketing just becomes unthinkable.

You don't really make money from affiliate marketing with methods like instagram shoutouts, fb groups and ads. At least not in a most direct way, and not with just 1 offer.

The way people make money with affiliate marketing through these channels is usually with more manipulation and building out funnels they monetize with multiple offers. And the guys who are making money with media buys and affiliate marketing seasoned veterans and they are constantly tweaking their campaigns. They only make ROI for short periods and then have to change their campaigns.

You can certainly profit with affiliate marketing through these methods, but it's just MUCH harder. Once you've made your own products and start selling those, you'll never go back to affiliate marketing.(I only like affiliate marketing with SEO because it's free targeted traffic once you rank). You just have so many creative options at your disposal with your own higher ticket item.

You don't use fb ads without building a list. You'd never just send people to an article on your website. You must build a list.

Best of luck with your journey! Like @splishsplash said build a list if you are going to use fb ads because it's going to be easy for u.. just when u create the quizz u send it right away to the list = traffic on autopilot = $$

Can you please let me know which youtube video did you refer for this?
Well I searched for youtube tutorials as I need it.
example: how to put SSL for free etc etc
