Hey Guys,
:)

Welcome to my Design, Development, Marketing and Strategy Consulting Firm journey thread.

First of all, I have to mention that I have been lurking around here since a year now and I cannot thank the BHW community and its contributors enough for the heaps of knowledge they have shared here.

A little bit of background and Current Status: (YOU CAN SKIP THIS PART)

I am from India and 28 years young, I have worked full time in IT Project Management (Web & App development) and Sales. I have also worked as a freelancer and on a contract basis with small businesses in different domains such as machine manufacturing, fashion, food and music helping them with management, setup, sales etc.

But I have always had this thing for making money online and before BHW I had wasted a lot of time online finding methods or any concrete knowledge on how to do it. Then I started on BHW with a friends account doing Instagram Automation in last year's end but went out of the game in January' 2019 because of a good-paying employment opportunity. On that job, I have saved around $20K and have quit.

In these past few years, I have figured out that I can not work for anyone but myself, be it any amount of money I will be bored because of the less control over the thing and limited-repetitive schedule. But down the line, doing all this, have taught me a few very important skills such as Project Management, Team Management, understanding of current development technologies and most important of all sales.

About the Journey:

Now, With that saved amount and using what I have learned through these jobs, I am starting a Consulting firm for Businesses/Individuals already online or those are wanting to get online.

I know the market has become a lot saturated these days but I think if you keep a different approach than, just not making money but also providing the clients with the satisfaction this saturated market is not. I believe that the most important of all is the way of handling the client, conversations with him and understanding the requirement of his business. The goal should be to deliver better than the client's expectation. Rest, everyone out there is doing fine.

So all of that being in order following are the services I am going to offer:
  • Marketing:
  1. Instagram
  2. Facebook
  3. Google Ads
  4. SEO
  5. Email Marketing
  6. Lead genration
  • Design & Development:
  1. Websites - Any Level.
  2. Mobile Applications - Any Level, Both IOS & Android.
  3. E-commerce/ Dropshipping.
  • Strategy Consultation:
  1. Available Oportunities
  2. Organisational Setup
  3. Management Solutions
  4. Business Scalablity
  5. Sales Strategy
  6. Marketing Strategy
These are all those things which are co-related and in most cases same client would be needing more than one out of these, as in, If you have a client for Instagram there are very good chances that he would be needing a website or E-commerce store etc.

And yes, I know this is too much to handle alone and I would be needing expert resources for all of the above mentioned services. That is why, I am not gonna start with all of these at once, I am going to start with Instagram in Marketing and Complete Design & Development Becuase I know I can deliver the best in these. For the rest, I am actively looking for collabrations.

Considering that eventually every platform gets strictier by time towards black hat methods used for growth on it, So, I am going to rely mostly on White hat methods following the Platform guidelines, using intense reaserch and gathering data on what works for the particular project and what not?, and also mixing up a few startegies using the black hat mehtods working at that time, without risks.

Okay, But how I am going to get clients?, Lead Generation.

So, for this part I am going to move forward with creating presence over the following platform, using the best practices and multiple accounts.
  • Upwork - Premium subscription, Bulletproof Bids and An unresistable overview.
  • Instagram - Establishing authority via main Account, Child Accounts for Ineractions and Scrolling.
  • Facebook - Facebook Page, Posts in relevant groups and Interactively comenting on Solid prospect's queries.
  • Google Search - For local businesses.
  • LinkedIn - Company page automated for connection growth, Generating Quality Content to establish authority and Cold Approaching solid prospects.
  • Shopify Stores - Searching for niche specific stores.
  • Friends, Family and Work - Word of mouth, references and followups.
And a Website with a blog for SEO to post guides, methods and best practices to get organic traffic to the website and for Brand development in the long run.

Current Setup [25, December, 2019]:

As of now, I have rented an office in a coworking space, so that i dont get out of that schedule of spending at least 8hrs/day in office and more improtantly to network. In coworking spaces most of the companies are new and they tend to know less and have a lot of challenges in there businesses, which is why it is very easy to convert them at this stage.
I have one VA for instagram, a graphic designer for all the design part and full-stack design and development time sitting remote.
I also have a full-time partner who manages the team and the projects, And I am handling the Instagram Area and Sales & Marketing for the firm.

Thanks!
I don't even consider luck as a factor to rely on. For me it's pure hardwork.

What’s your approach with potential leads? Do you contact them about the opportunity of collaborating, with a free audit or you wait them to approach you?

Hey @ddlmanager,

So, For me its a two part process,

In the first meeting/Skype call, I just gather details about their current setup, issues, plans and their goals. And then we do a research on their competition and on our on for their niche, figure out suitable strategies for their business(Such as platforms for content, platform for ads, Website purpose etc).

In the second meeting/Skype call, it is all about leaving an impact based on the research, we put all of our findings in front of the client, usually in form of a 6-10 page presentation, stating all the problems they and their competitions are facing and why, these all are presented in such a way that it would also include the solution.

These are a few basic things which have helped me in improving conversion and working on my terms and price.
  • Speak with them with authority like you know things others don't.
  • Instead of addressing them as sir/mad, use MR. X, MRS. Y.
  • Never speak against their current supplier just show them the problems.
  • Never offer them services directly, just tell them, like a consultant, how these issues are solved.
This kind of a pitch is very effective, you should be able to make them believe you, like they believe their doctor, because I am sure none of us has ever asked a doctor for a bargain.
And Doctors don't offer us their services directly, they just tell us our problems and we pay $$.

Hope this helps. :):D
