What's up guys. I'm starting an affiliate marketing journey in order to keep myself accountable. Hopefully it works.

I've also started a website recently which I'm in the process of adding articles to. I'm writing them personally so it's kind of a slow burn project, but I digress.

The plan

Basic structure is (ad -> landing page -> Email -> offer)

I have a budget of around £3000. This is an amount I can realistically afford. Of course, this is also dependent on whether or not I see results. The cut off point if I see zero results after putting money into ads is probably around £200.

--Ads--

Depends on the niche, but I'll probably try facebook ads to start with. I'll try making the ads myself to gain experience.

--Landing page--

I'll be using wordpress for simplicity. I need to figure out a way to build it for free, and fast. I could easily pay for landing page services given my budget but I want to know what I'm doing before I start spending money on optimization.

I'll try to collect emails if cost-per-acquisition isn't too high.

I'll probably include some sort of incentive on the landing page, but I'll also include a direct link to the offer for impatient customers

Haven't completely sorted this part out, I'll give it more detail as I complete the previous steps.

--Email--

I'll give them the incentive and then direct them to the offer. Here I just want to warm them up a bit more. The incentive will probably just be a short article or something informational + motivating.

--Offer--

I'm thinking the 'make money online' niche given the current circumstances.

Right now I'm thinking OGADS or clickbank. Mostly because those are the only two I've found. I need to find out what kind of money I can expect from clickbank

To do for tomorrow: Find offers, sign up on affiliate/ad networks

By the end of the week: Finish the set-up and be ready to start driving traffic

Good luck bro I’ll be watching - if you have a £3,000 budget, you can certainly make a nice return on that smartly!

To get the most from your £200 ads budget I suggest you make a site and content that will convert first.

if you need to learn, the best way I learnt to make attractive sites was getting elementor plugin and using their templates as a basis, it can also help spur your creative thinking....

for your budget, I suggest looking @Festinger vault, it’s dam cheap for you get, you will get all sorts of pro themes and pro plugins that will seriously help you to make a nice site!

Would also suggest investing in some content as well, but not the cheap shit, talking about the $8/100 word stuff. Getting good content written for you to start with can also give you some basis and guidelines of how you should structure and write your articles.

good luck man!

Good luck with the journey. Hope you achieve target soon.

Have you done this before?

I've tried ads for affiliate offers, but it's quite hard as the marginals are so tight.

I guess it works for you as you'll be collecting emails and thus can send offers to them several times?

Good luck!

Migth be better to ask to move that journey in the journey section no?

So today I signed up with clickbank & commission junction. I did some research on clickbank[1][2] and used that to decide which product to promote. Clickbank type sales pages still look SUPER spammy to me, but if people can believe 5G causes corona they can believe anything :p

Criteria used for choosing products (Clickbank):

- High payout/sale. This should give me good margins to work with as ___ mentioned

- High gravity. This should give me a higher conversion rate Obviously more saturated but I think I can still promote it with some originality. (Funnily enough, the resources I used disagree on this.)

- Could sell well in the current climate (+ pretty evergreen)

- Good sales page w/ video

- Low cost initial offer with up to 3 upsales [2]

- Affiliate tools

I'll check out commission junction tomorrow, I was kinda busy today. I'll also decide on a final product and buy a domain. Hopefully I can sort out hosting during the weekend. I'll contact the hosting provider for my current blog and ask if I can add a site to my plan.

To do:

- Research commission junction
- Buy domain for product
- Start producing a lead magnet

Thoughts: Authorityhacker says I shouldn't sell AT ALL on my landing page so traffic is more likely to share the page. Their opinion is that I should hit them with a lead magnet and collect emails. Then, after they've given me their email, I direct them to the sales page. I can do it this way or forget about the redirect and just put the link in the initial opt-in email..or both. Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks! Honestly, I don't really want to take the content route. It feels like it would take a long time to build up the site and see results. I might do that if the offer is converting but I mainly want to use PPC or social media. If I build a list, I basically already have the traffic needed to get a site to rank quickly. I don't know if this is doable but I basically just want to put money into ads, analyse the data and refine my approach. This would be far more comfortable for me than trying to quickly rank a site. I have a blog but as I mentioned in the OP, it's a slow burn passion project where I write the articles myself.

Good luck with the journey. Hope you achieve target soon.

Thank you!

Good luck on your journey

Thanks

Nope, I wanted to but I got distracted. The margins should be ok with some of the higher paying offers I think. If not, I've got the emails. I just hope I don't burn through my budget collecting emails lol

Good luck ans i hope you make some good $$$$.

Thank you

Niche?

best of success, of course!

Thanks. Haven't completely decided on the niche yet. I said 'make money online' in the OP, but there are some other good options given the current climate.

Good luck man!
Very interesting

Thank you.

Interesting Journey! U can do it :)

The way Authorityhacker say is the better way to do it.

The reason being that once you get someones email you can remarket to them by email over and over niche related products for almost $0. It is that backend remarketing where the real money is made in this business model.

Quite an ambitious goal, as it should be. Hope you make it bro

Don't forget to use Quiz-type landing page for better conversions with FB Ads.

Sub'd.
