So I don't know if it's just me, but I've noticed a LOT of Top 10s and Fact videos doing really well on YouTube recently. So well that they're being recommended to me even when I have no search history or subscriptions to these types of channels/videos. I also noticed that on channels that typically don't do these types of videos, when they do do these types of videos they always get more views. I know that YouTube favors long videos now, but is it possible they also favor this type of content? I'm wondering because a lot of titles for these videos aren't very well optimized for YouTube search. Sure, they can be eye-catching, but what good is that if the video isn't ranking for keywords? I'm sure we can agree "10 Reasons Why This Game is Amazing" isn't a very well optimized title for YouTube search. What does everyone think about this?
