So Instagram made this update where they are going to put ads on IGTV and Lives and split ads revenue with creators on a 50-50% I think.

What are your thoughts about it?
I mean is it available for every accounts, does it need to be verified or something?
Are those dogs accounts with 500k and 1M followers make some crazy revenue?

Thanks.

I heard that you need to have at least 10k followers and some watch time before you can monetize

Maybe it will be possible for accounts 10k+?
As for Links in stories

Natural next step for the platform, and I'm pretty sure there will be a restriction on who has access. Most likely 10k followers or maybe an IGTV metric.

and as someone who does social media management for 4 'celebrity' dogs, yes they're gonna make some crazy revenue.

Yeah probably 10k or some metrics to be approved for creator revenue program

There has been already bunch of threads about it with some information in it .

Been off for a few months did not see any threads
I have copied my own answer from a different thread here:

The IGTV monetization will be a bit of ''hard work'' to get accepted. From all kind of sources I have heard (this doesn't have to be true).

Possible Req.:
  1. 10k Real followers
(Instagram should go through your followers, and check if they are real or not - same applies for engagement/engagement groups, etc.)
  2. 30,000+ 1-minute views
  3. Publish 3 minute videos
  4. Meet their Partner Monetisation policies
(do not have fake followers, engagement, etc.)

Prohibited formats:
  1. Static videos
  2. Static image polls
  3. Slideshows of images
  4. Looping videos
  5. Text montages
  6. Embedded ads

Prohibited behaviors:
  1. Engagement bait
  2. Solictiting engagement
(Consuming of drugs, alcohol, or tobacoo)
    Disrobing or other sexual behavior..

Debated social issues:
  1. Race
  2. Gender
  3. National origin
  4. Age
  5. Political affiliation
  6. Ethnicity
  7. Disabillity
  8. Sexual orientation
  9. Socioeconomic class
  10. Relligion
  11. Immigration

And the prohibited list keeps on going.
The IGTV is trying to implement a bunch of ideas from FB & YT monetization.

Thanks for the brief answer!
I've been reading he facebook similar program and it should be something like that (most things you write there)

My doubts are for example:
Those memes pages are they going to be allowed to monetize?
Because a lot of them just repost from other pages and even if you make original content it is going to be reposted by some smartass
