I think this is a nice domain, what to do with it?

Hey everybody,

I recently had an idea to start earning dollars (I stay in South Africa) and thought if I build a Wordpress plugin they will come.... So, did some research, saw some ridiculously successful similar plugins and then started searching for a domain name... I came to a point where I thought Custom fields would be a great way to go. But make it more user friendly than the other ones already out there.

So I got the domain customfieldsplugin - (Enjoy the blank site) but it turns out it was too expensive to have it developed, as I can't develop myself. I had some guys from India help at one stage but they were soooo unreliable and... sensitive, sheez.

So, what should I do with this domain or plugin idea? Scrap it or keep the domain, maybe selling the domain? If selling is an option, where have you had the best results for selling domains?

youre telling me you can program a Wordpress plugin but can't setup a quick Wordpress site?

I definitely can set up a quick wordpress site, I can't programme the plugin, nor can I afford anyone to do it, OR they are to unreliable. Thats the problem here. So I'm tring to get rid of the domain in some way. Thanks for your feedback.

IDK what are you trying to do, so you have some ideas for plugin but you have no idea how to create one, and you have domain for that plugin and you want to sell it to someone?

Well hey, nice to see another South African around here.

OP, personally I'd scrap it. It's all very well having a good idea, but if you don't have the knowledge or resources to execute it, it'll remain nothing more than an idea.

If you want to stick to the plugin development angle, why not push out a few small but useful plugins to start out with, before you do anything too complex? Use the smaller projects as an opportunity to find a developer that you work well with, without breaking the bank.

Hey there Conor, Nice to see a South African here, well the idea of this post is to find out where I can sell this domain and if anyone had any luck selling domains somewhere. The original idea was to start earning $ instead of rands, but the freelance coders out there are way too unreliable. I'll take your idea and start with something small and see if I can build on that and not try and take on the world without any budget.

Maybe release it as a freemium product, I have an idea though.

First step is to admit to yourself that you have worthless domain in your hand and that you probably wont sell it (this means stop wasting your time with that)
