I have a fairly active WP blog on offshore hosting with "unlimited" bandwidth however in the past few weeks, visitors are seeing this message:

The website is temporarily unable to service your request as it exceeded resource limit. Please try again later.

The host isn't necessarily helpful in providing suggestions and to be honest, it isn't their problem. I do however, want to solve it but am not sure how. I suspect (with good reason but without going into detail) a competitor is pinging/ddos-ing frequently enough to trigger my host servers to stop the attack. Unfortunately, this also temporarily shuts down access to my site. I have considered a cloudserver, but would this help? ANY suggestions would be welcome!

There is nothing "unlimited". Don't ever use any service from someone advertise "unlimited".

Back to the toppic, most likely your host network reach its limit. What is your views daily ? You better start to move to a better host.

There's no such thing as unlimited, I would suggest moving to another host. See how much bandwith visitors use per month and how much profit(if decent move to a good host and pay premium, look into vps or dedicated)

There's nothing really you can do than to upgrade your hosting package. I had this problem also once and you'll need to wait until next month to start over and with the same traffic same thing will happen again..

If there is a Shared hosting, this is happens everytime...

Interesting,I figured "unlimited" isn't actually unlimited but it's apparently a lotmore limited than I assumed. Great information, all of you!

if you have ddos attack really, cloudserver will be very expensive. be aware
