I lost everything due to latest Google Updates ... What now?

Great guide. I’ve been wanting to enter the Spanish market for several years now, but I just haven’t gotten around to it :(

Nice guide. Bookmarking it. I love the way you explained the short and long term ways to solve google problems.

Perfect as always @xpesos

I would suggest that you pay close attention to why you lost your rankings.

If you lost your rankings because of backlink shenanigans, pay attention to how many links need to be disavowed.

If it's just too much to bother with, I would suggest that you start brand new.

If you got penalized because of sloppy AI use, this is easier to fix.

You have to manually fix your content.

The good news is that the answer or the guidelines to doing this is not a mystery.

There are a lot of people giving out all advice involving shortcuts.

Disregard those.

Shortcuts are what got you in trouble in the first place.

Let's not beat around the bush.

The reason why AI content got so big so quickly is because people are looking for a shortcut.

They ended up filling Google's index with AI-generated stuff.

Now, I'm not going to say that it's all garbage.

There's some good stuff in there but let's not fool ourselves.

The garbage outweighs the gems and it's no surprise that Google took a chainsaw to a lot of AI-powered sites.

It's your job to look at the historical stats of your site and put together a roadmap of content recovery.

Focus first on the articles that used to get a lot of traffic.

Edit them, line by line.

Ask yourself, is this robotic?

Is this shallow?

Is this accurate?

Am I saying anything that other people are not already saying?

And most importantly, ask yourself this question.

Does this actually help the audience that I'm trying to reach with the keywords that I'm targeting?

I know this is not the answer a lot of people are asking for but this is the answer that we all need to hear.

It's all about putting in the work.

Unfortunately, so many people get into online publishing thinking that it's some sort of get-rich-quick scheme and that's why they end up getting burned.

You have to put in the work but the good news is that online publishing, unlike a nine-to-five job, is passive.

Meaning you put in the work once and if you do it right, it will continue to reward you long into the future.

Compare that with the typical job where you put in the work and you get paid.

If you refuse to work, the next day you don't get paid.

The choice is obvious.

So focus on quality.

How do you define quality?

It's all about the end user.
