Hi guys!

This is my first post here so correct me if I've done anything wrong.

My problem is that I recently made a Wordpress website and installed SSL using Cloudflare.

The problem is I get this error:

NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID

Also WhynoPadlock results shows that I've Installed SSL correctly.

Do you guys have any idea or tips on how I can solve this problem?

I prefer using free methods to solve this problem since I come from a third world country and paying $$$ hurst my wallet a lot.

Why did you install it on Cloudflare? The right way to do it is to install it on your webserver, does your hosting not provide free SSL, it is standard today.

YOu should ask your hosting coz mostly it comes with free SSL when you buy domain.

I'm using Vultr and I installed SSL previously using their console with Certbot, I got a free SSL with that.

However it resulted in an error. So I removed the SSL with Certbot and used Cloudflare instead.

I dunno if this helps but I bought an expired domain and built a new website over the old domain so I get to keep the backlinks. Is this the reason why I have SSL errors?

There was no edit button so I just added this info, this might actually be the reason why the SSL has issues.

The free ssl from your host should automatically issue and install a valid certificate.
Is your domain pointing at your host's nameservers?
Try contacting your host's support (is it vultr or cloudflare?) and inform them of the issue. It should be easily resolved free of charge.

You're right I tried searching the net and posting on forums but I didn't contact them, I will do that and see if they reply.
Its vultr by the way.

My bad I meant with cloudflare. Vultr should resolve this for you.:)

Thank you for all the help guys. My website is SSL secured now. It just needed some time for my settings to take effect, a couple of hours to be exact.

Anyway I'm going to close this thread now.
