Hi guys!

I'm having a test period in one of the websites which is selling web templates and themes. Everything going pretty good, but there is one annoying problem that i need to solve:

- we've got a big percentage of traffic from India, but part of buyers is 10 or even 20 times lower than from other countries :(
I understand that those guys are basically just browsing the website and looking for inspiration for their own themes and website designs, but i believe that there is a way too boost the part of people that might make a purchase.

I've already thought of pop-ups, pop-unders, asking for email and all that stuff...

So, maybe you can give me at least a small idea how i can sqeeze some more money out of them?)

Stan

Perhaps it is WHAT you are saying in your offer rather than the method you use (popups).

Consider testing different text.

Indians are mostly like to create themselves instead of buying.

Try to add some free stuff along with the product. Works most of the time.

Offer discounts, freebies and drop the prices.

FYI: Many Indians like to buy templates and themes for their clients and custom projects.

You could try to get more sales when you lower the price for certain countries.

I only ever look for free alternatives before considering making a purchase. Market your stuff better to us and we'll buy it.

Sell them in Indian Rupee not in $$$$$..............If they find it cheap..they will buy it....

you don't......Indians are more interested in freebies than anyone else on this planet. All of the ecomm sites in India don't charge for shipping LMAO.

Cash on delivery is the only way that works best in eCommerce sites in India. Ecommerce became big in India only after Cash on Delivery arrived around 4-5 years ago. Most Indians do not pay upfront.

In case of websites and stuff, there are not that many very big IMers in India. The large IMers would anyways purchase even if you don't advertise (they probably purchased before you even advertised) and the smaller ones (who hardly earn a few dollars a day) would not purchase even if you push them to the wall.

Indian traffic is pretty much worthless. Doesn't convert on anything.

You have to keep in mine their average salary. They dont make much and to us in the US a $50 template is not much money but to them it is a weeks salary if not more.

Create an advertisement with Indian famous actor/actress. They impress easily.

Payment Method? Many Indians don't have a credit card or a PayPal account. Most of my Indian friends pay using debit cards or net banking.

Also make sure that what you're offering is not already available for free on the web.
