How to start getting traffic in a blog?

That's very easy, actually. First of all you should become a popular media person like Kim Kardashian, a film director or an actor like Brad Pitt and your blog will be very popular regardless the shit you post there.

The other way is to become a popular scientist like Stephen Hawking. You may also spend years to learn literature to became a super-duper writer like Stephen King or Fedor Dostoevsky. In this case you may write real good novels and publish them on your blog.

Otherwise you won't earn even a cent. There are MANY MILLIONS of people like you who think that even if they can't do something in this life, they are not famous media people and mostly they have no high education, but they can earn money on blogging. These fools sincerely believe they can make a bank by doing nothing but posting to their blogs some low quality articles, written by themselves or by cheap and incompetent copywriters from poor 3rd countries. Believe me man, nobody will read that shit and Google knows it, so you will never get any traffic and won't earn anything w/o a serious background in some area which could be real interesting for some slice of society.

Dude 10 articles in 6mo? Seriously? Did you even promoted it and searched around for threads and people that might need it? 10 articles is what you should had written in 10 days. Lol.

Get all the different topics and things you wrote, make an article for it. Talked about growing your back? Create 'how to get rid of your back pain, why the back is the most important muscle group in the body', 'how to grow your back with 7 simple exercises', 'Grow your back at home with this simple exercise
s', 'Back problems? Do this and you will cure it'.
My point is just churn and create, if your 10 articles are your main focus, just point these to those. Fck there is so many things you didn't even mentioned that appear that you don't even know wtf you are doing, just search for some tutorials. If you don't really care about money right now, just focus on writing and re-writing as much content as you can, with as much quality as you can and learn SEO while you do and optimization of time in the site.
Then start doing content on socials and learn those as well as a newsletter and email capture.
When you have a good body of content, start selling, regering for money, promoting, selling your guides, tutorials, courses, consultation, whatever you do best, thru the site and socials and whatnot. 6 months writing and churning content and you can be making good money and with a great hang of all of this.
If you are lazy, just make the articles money articles/email offers/paid guides/book/something that makes you money and focus on your socials in an heavy way. Just make sure those 10 articles are good.

This should had been first of everything, but what is your goal with this blog?

You need to build some backlinks to your site otherwise the googlebot will not be able to find your site.

lol I have written 15 articles in 1 month and I think it's still not enough. 10 articles in 6 months?

I'm not by any mean SEO expert but have decided to add my personal wordpress and add my articles in which all of them I have wrote them myself but may hire someone to do it for me as I'm so busy, after I wrote around 35 articles and posted them on my new wordpress, I dated back some of them so the site looks like its been up for a while, not sure if this is a good strategy but I'm building my own personal branding ... anyway, I put the site on a week back and played with some ideas to increase the traffic and I was surprised when I checked the google analytics and jetpack as they both showed me I have 900+ new visitors in one week, not bad for someone who have no idea how to increase a traffic. I don't sell anything on this blog yet but it does look very nice. I'm not even sure if 900 visitors is good for first week or not , if its good then something or whatever the "other" things that I was doing is working. Will test IG contests soon and may give freebies products for site visit and followers ...

Forgot to add: that you need to post many articles and make it interesting and post something every few days ....

One of the free (but a little time-consuming ways) is to answer as many related Quora questions as you can and putting the link to your blog there. But use multiple Quora accounts so it doesn't look like spamming.

That's bad advice imo. Posting interesting stuff every few days doesn't do squat unless you have a lot of social traffic.

I think you fail from the start on fitness niche are big sharks, maybe with plenty of articles you are lucky to eat some visitors, but without some backlinks, I don`t think so.

Totally true. I recommend trying to buy some Instagram shoutouts and start building a email list until you are able to get some quality backlinks and rank for some long tail KWs. The fitness niche is extremely competitive.

I think 10 articles isn't enough. How many words on average?

You need to post 10-20 articles or even more every month to get significant traffic. Considering that it's a fitness blog, it should be regularly updated with fresh content.

You also need some backlinks. I suggest commenting on other blogs and putting up some Web 2.0 sites (Tumblr, Medium, Blogger, etc.). They don't cost money.

I definitely agree. You should also try writing about your page on social media, create ig account, twitter, facebook. Write a post with links to your page etc.

Good point, I also consider a good idea sending your content to a highly filtered email list, do your demographics investigation right, and stick to the rules.

That isn't a bad score, you can get more traffic when you engage yourself on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and Pinterest, and also commenting on other similar blogs, try this and see.
