How to promote your blog

Hello, here is my 7 steps to promote my new blog:

1. Link Exchange . Exchange of links and banners is a good way to attract new readers. Not necessarily the links are in a separate field in the side panel , for example . They can be in articles in both blogs that link for some reason one another.
2. Exchange of articles. In short - write articles for other blogs under the condition that they contain information about you and your blog. An example can be found in scholarship . The truth is that you will not lose anything when helping a fellow blogger and get visitors from his blog . This will only help you. Choose blogs with a similar topic to yours. Scholarship , for example, writes about money for students. I write about online business - money. Money is the common theme of both blogs . Some of the visitors brought by this article , become regular readers.
3. Social bookmark . Use socials like google +, facebook, twitter, pinterest and other networks.
4. Search Engine Optimization . Like many bloggers say search engines are a source of high-quality visitors. This means that visitors from search engines most often become regular readers and brings in a blog as long as it is monetized quality . More details on Search Engine Optimization see in this category. You'll find tips for keywords , writing and search engine optimization , and in particular article " SEO and blogging ."
5. Comments on other blogs . A concise formula : commentary with qualitative information or meaningful opinion on a subject = visitors from another blog . And such visitors as comment. Leave a link to your website at the end of every comment that you compose .
6. Free directory submit - use all free directories to submit your blog. Create description, tittle and keywords.
7. Forums - leave a comments and forum posts and use your signature with your link to your blog.

Is there a place to look for other bloggers willing to exchange links or articles !?

I just search in google blogs from same nishe but ranked for different keywords and ask directly owners.

There are a few sites..You might find blogs as well her. Just chek below sites.

Before you even think about getting traffic to your blog the first thing you need is epic content so good that anyone who see's it feels compelled to link to it, share it, tell people about it etc.

Then simply go about getting that content in front of your target audience and noticed by other authorities in your niche.

Reach out to other bloggers, do something cool for them, tweet / pin / like / share / link to them, write about them and ego bait them, give them free stuff they can give to their audiences, write epic guest posts for them.

Get active everywhere your target audience is via guest posting, guestographics, blog commenting, forum posting, active on social media hubs, banner ads, solo ads, Reddit - whatever it takes.

Just do it sensibly and don't spam or piss people off.

Some blog owners use trains to gain more followers, like tumblrplug etc..but it normally depends on the original site

also image search is nice source for blogs

This is great advice if you wanna rank in about 50 to 60 years in the future.

You missed the point.

It's not about ranking it's about driving direct traffic to your site by going where your target audience already is and getting them over to your site instantly.

Not about waiting around for Google to decide if they want to rank you some time in the future only for them to take it away a short time later because they don't like you any more.

Building a blog or any other business around unpredictable search engine traffic is a good way to end up disappointed and potentially broke.

submit to digg , reddit and stumble upon.

huge crowd will follow, if you have good content.

Try Instagram for one of the marketing method. It's really effective, you get likes and followers like crazy! There's a cool FREE training that I checked out last time. It doesn't sell anything and it's good for anything you do so it really make sense to check it out.

convert article to video and upload it to youtube

Hey, I'd like to mention you can promote your blog/website, by making a video on youtube. In the description part you can only see 2 lines before you have to click on "show more" and so there you can add your blog or the url to your sales page. Whatever you want basically - but it shouldn't take more than the first 2 lines because people are lazy

Spend some time networking with bloggers in your niche and find out if they accept syndicated content. Some will if it's epic enough.

So whenever you've posted a new article you can send it out to everyone who accepts syndicated content and really make the most of one article.

On a smaller scale you can also re-package and syndicate that content to various other places.

Turn into a PDF and submit to Slideshare, DocStoc and Scribd.
Turn into a slideshow and submit to Slideshare.
Curate /share it to Reddit, Scoop.it, Rebel Mouse, Flipboard and Paper.li (both your own pages and suggest to others pages)
Post it to FB, Twitter, Pinterest, Linked In, G+, Tumblr etc not just your own pages but big active groups.
Turn it into video and send to YT and Vimeo.
Audio files / podcast if you have the time.

All bring in steady traffic numbers and are very quick to do.

There's plugins to auto post to the social networks, it can be submitted to Reddit, Scoop It, Rebel Mouse, Flipboard with one click.

Takes 2 minutes to turn into a PDF and submit to the document share.

Video takes a bit more time as does slideshows and podcasts but can be worth it.

I agree that you should first have a good amount of set quality content; so when you direct your following' they can stay and read and not just leave because lack of content.
Do you know which plug-in submits all of your work to all social networks?

I'm thinking of posting my link to Digg/indexing it/Posting on Twitter/facebook each new article and slowly generating comments to make my site more appealing. Until I get a steady flow of unique visits.

You can also set up Facebook Fan Page to tap on the prowess of social network to promote a blog.

Guest Posting is probably my favorite way to promote the blog. As a blogger I can tell you...you have to spend a lot of time promoting your content.

I am not sure of any "link exchanging" sites but I have used myblogguest as a great way to find opportunities for guest posting and reaching new audiences. The process is pretty straight forward when you sign in, it's a community driven around guest blogging.
