Hello SEO legends,

I have been trying to learn about SEO, the more I try the more I am getting confused, and I believe this is the case with most newbies.

What could be a good strategy to learn SEO right from the basics?

IK there are 100s of valuable threads here teaching SEO. BUT How should I go through them? Where should I start?

If someone can make a complilation of those threads in an "order" or just help us on how to start step by step, it will be very helpful.

Ik this is too much asking. If you can help, 1000s of newbies will be great full to you.

Thank you.

I'm just trying to start and learn too I think youtube videos watching them non stop is the best way. Make sure they are recent 2018-2019+

SEO from scratch:

  1. Google is the most popular search engine, forget everything else.
  2. Google ranks your site primarily based on which sites link to your website and what you have written on your website.
  3. Google can make your site go higher or lower based on what they think is high quality and low quality links and writing, so adding a bunch of spam links or spamming the same words over and over can actually make your website less optimized.
  4. Keywords are what people search for in Google to find websites. If I am looking for Facebook, I will search Facebook, the keyword is Facebook.
  5. So Facebook needs to make sure Facebook is written on their website if they want to be search engine optimized for the keyword Facebook. If Facebook changed everything written on their site to Reddit, Google would consider their website to not be optimized.
  6. If Facebook just put Facebook 500 times more on their Homepage, their website would not be optimized.

I hope this has been very helpful for newbies.

Im reading all the sticky threads.
All are gold!

You starts from learning keyword research, then onpage optimization to link building. Its neither easy nor a rocket science to learn too.

Forgive me for this generalization, but SEO can simply be viewed as these two parts; Relevance and Popularity. Search engines and social media try to determine your (or your sites) placement in relation to those two attributes. To really learn go to the free download section here on BHW and get some guides or courses to learn the nuances.

well ...you can start with moz beginner guide to seo ,,, it's very useful ... plus reading in BHW threads and articles

How many keywords we can put in our article/content?

Many people suggest around 1-5% "keyword density," which means that for each 100 words, you can write the keyword a maximum of 1-5 times. Always read your article over and see if there is another word you can use instead of the same keyword. This will help you target similar keywords and seem less spammy. There is no exact number that we know of.

In SEO, testing is very important. So you can try writing it only 2 times per article, then 4 times the next article, then 8 times the next article.

Start with learning On Page SEO and Apply to your website. Then Same with Off Page first read and learn about it and Apply on your website. By this, you will not only be able to learn SEO from scratch but will become a pro in no time.

Do you have a website? If yes you already have a niche. My first website seems to have been a mistake as the niche was too large.

If you dont have a website then I would suggest either learning keyword research or pay someone on the marketplace to find you a niche and keywords.

Then start building a website. This will give you more relevant and answerable questions. I know this as my first 1 million questions on here were "how do I do keyword research".
