How To Get Ranking In Google ?

I am doing SEO from past 2 to 3 years, achieved small competition keywords in local search engine(india). By doing directory, article submission, bookmarking, blog commenting. But i am getting bore with all this, trying to learn latest tactics in SEO which help in ranking with good search volume and competitive keywords. Now trying on "quiz" related keywords but now i failure in getting ranking. Please can any one help me in keyword research and how to achieve ranking on USA or India. I am loosing confidence on SEO as well life.

keep at it! After 4 months Im ranking my first site ever...albeit its page 19, Its still motivating to see all my efforts and investments come to light

Article submission and directory submission it is basic SEO we do.

To get good ranking on Google you need to increase your PR, use quality content, high PR back links from relevant sites, growing your website pages is also a great symbol of trust in the eyes of Google. PM for detailed list of the type of back links to use.

as john said just keep making quality unique content get some back links from sites that are all relevant keep at it and the results we be much more beneficial than any black hat spam method.

You're going to need high pr links to rank for the big keywords, period.

I got into first page of my niche and doing so well because of a good SEO though it was hard for me because that time i don't know any simple ways and techniques about SEO

seems like these days its all about backlinks, ironically enough.

Dont loose faith either in SEO or life... Live and enjoy both. Software submissions, blog networks, audio sharing links, info graphic submissions ....are new things you can look into.
