How to Find Low Competition Keywords without a Keyword Difficulty Finder?

Okay guys, so a guy I've been talking to has told me that keyword difficulty things SUCK. He told me that they don't work at all. Is this true?

I'm trying to build an affiliate website, and he told me my keywords sucked. I used KeywordRevealer and found the ones with the lowest competition and monthly search volume (so I could rank). He said that those keywords were bad, and that I should manually find keywords to rank for.

Is there any truth to this?

Keyword tools help narrow down searches, but you should still manually check competition.

Yep, it's a mix of both automated and manual effort. You cannot fully depend on the results produced by the bot unless you do manual checking yourself to confirm it.

Keyword tools are a start but are very bad to assess true difficulty.

It all depends what you're trying to rank. If you're trying to rank an Amazon site, you'll need to target buyer intent keywords. Look at the 1st page, see who's on the 1st page, etc. How many affiliates are going for that word? How many use the exact keyword in title, url? Then assess how much it will take to beat these sites. If you have an amazing, high authority site, it might be worth competing for this word. If you're brand new, think hard on how much you're willing to spend to be top 3.

Just find SERPS that already have niche sites ranking in them. Then just disect their onpage, do yours better, build links and outrank them

However keyword research tool shows less difficulty, you need to check the keywords competitors metrics manually to ensure that they are weak and easy to beat them.

You have to check competitor's PA,DA,on page seo and mainly their metrics. If you can see many less PA, DA sites on top then you can confirm this is low competition.

kw difficulty tools give you a estimate ........ as written above check the main pages yourself and see how strong they are. i use majestic for that.

Hey .. first check in google adwords tool ..keyword planner it show you the highest search was done for which keyowrd ..

So you can beat them by doing proper on page seo and some basic backlinks enough.

Using ahrefs to get keywords from other blog/ forum that relate to your business. Then using KWFinder to check kw difficulty.

my metric is DA under40 for low
40-60 for medium will need some links
60-100 Good luck difficult

by the way nothing beats checking the keywords manually
you can tell immediately using DA if the majority of the sites are hard to outrank at first glance

then check each site for the on page stuff
