How to delete all 404 errors ?

    Basically I deleted some of my posts to make my blog more niche oriented. However I see a lot of 404 errors and I want to remove all these files from google index.

    There's a plugin called 404 to 301 if you're using WP. That'll redirect all 404s to a page of your choice.

    redirecting 404 via 301 will result in "soft 404" in WMT. I don't know if that affects rankings.

    You can redirecting that kind of 404 pagesto other working pages. it is one of the good idea to get rid from this kind of issues
