How many Plugins Should I use?

Hi guys,
I'm starting my first Wordpress blog and already have 20 plugins for technical seo and my theme and I think there will be 4-5 more to come for AMP and other stuffs.

How many plugins should I use?
Is 25 plugins more?
What would be the consequences of removing some of them?

Each plugin makes WP slower. I run several large blogs for clients and none have more than 10 plugins. In fact the ones with 7 or 8 are the busy ones.

That sounds like a lot, but sometimes there's no way around it.

The number of plugins is less important than how each plugin impacts performance. Use your browser's developer tools to monitor how each plugin is impacting front-end performance (f12 then performance tab in chrome). Or use an external tool like GTMetrix.

Try and reduce the amount of plugins by hardcoding as much as you can, and check your site speed to make sure you aren't overloading on scripts.

My main page google score when server is not overloaded is
Mobile 56
Desktop 87
(Cause I have a YouTube video player there)

Other pages (posts and pages) google score is
Mobile 87
Desktop 97

Load time about 1-2 seconds

There was a problem while setting up AMP will try to fix today

20 - 25 are quite many, but how fast is your site now? Is it still very fast, then everything is fine. Should it be slow - rethink your selection. Probably you do not need all plugins...

The reason there are more plugins are cause I have plugins
