How long does it takes to learn SEO

Hi guys, I've got a little interest in SEO now, but how long does it takes to learn it, and what are the recommended tutorial in order to start learning?

There is no set time to learn SEO, but if you want to fast-track your knowledge, BHW is the place to be.

I've been doing SEO for quite some time and still learn new things, but here's a guide you may find useful.

Just like anything else, You can be decent at it in a few months. But there's no upper limit. It takes a short amount of time to learn and a lifetime career to master. bhw is like jumping into the deep end to learn how to swim, full emersion. You will learn the basics very quickly here.

I've been in the SEO business for more than 10 years and sometimes I feel like I learned nothing! Basics are easy to get but this shit is continuously progressing and every year a new trend.

I've done this on and off for 23 years and I am still learning. Probably my best tip is to not get bogged down. You only really need to know the high level basics to make some money. Learn the detail and you can make a LOT. But start small.

If you enjoy playing around with websites and the challenge of beating Google (even temporarily), you will do just fine and learn quickly. If none of that interests you, this is not the right hobby or career.

An hour if you buy an SEO course from some SEO Guru.
A lifetime, if you really want to learn it.
you can never learn SEO completely, google will always keep changing things and you will have to learn new ways.

Something I´ve learned in the past year is that SEO is a never-ending learning journey beast and, this might seem like something scarier for many it´s one of things I love the most about SEO.

There is no such a limited time to learn SEO and become an expert and run websites or some agencies. What you need is to learn the basics before any advanced strategies. Go ahead and find bhw threads about seo and ask important questions to get better answers.

Invest on some online courses, ebooks and learn from SEO masters, you will then get insane tips and tactics and be able to serve yourself and others.

Nobody here can give you a timeframe on how long it will take you to learn. SEO techniques are always changing which is why many of us find it so interesting. Your best bet to learn the basic fundamentals would be the read the white hat SEO and black hat SEO sections of BHW.

There is a lot of information available on the Internet. I started learning from MOZ SEO and other sites, but there is no particular set of time to learn SEO. So keep reading here on BHS threads and gain much more knowledge.
