How do i improve my DA

I have a 2 year old affiliate site with about 80 articles and no traffic.

I'm convinced it's because the site has no backlinks and a DA of 12

So how do I improve my DA quickly and does a backlink strategy improve a sites DA?

No point being obsessed with DA that doesn't bring traffic. You need decent guest posts and niche edit type links targeting buyer keywords that don't have much competition and bring some traffic.

Have you checked whats going on in your GSC?

I did a blog two years ago about greek philosophy without any SEO on purpose (0 incoming links, 0 onpage optimization, 0 keyword research, 0 everything SEO) and it's currently driving like 100 people per day so my conclusion is that no matter what, you will rank for the sake of it

With 80 articles, something wrong there might be happening

DA will not show direct impact on your rankings. Try to build more backlinks from high authority sites, and also improve your traffic by making guest post, social media signals. Update the content continuously with good quality.

You just have to work on SEO. For the start ill suggest you do some HQ guest posting.

Build backlinks on sites with a high DR instead. DR is an ahrefs metric, but you can find free DR checkers online. I've seen sites with a really high DA and they have 0 traffic and a low DR. I haven't ever seen a site with a high DR have 0 traffic. This alone tells me DA is irrelevant.
