Hi,

I want to increase my Domain Authority.

What are the best ways to increase it other than backlinks?

Thanks

long high quality articles with good inner page linking and at least 1 OBL to a wikisite and 1 youtube video inserted.

Takes very long and results might be frustrating ss well.

For improving your DA you should optimize your site with good onpage which include title of pages, tags, images and content itself and choose good domain name that is relevant to your site. Speed of your webpages should be fast. Regularly remove bad and toxic backlinks and create high quality content, publish it regularly. Make sure your site is also mobile friendly.

Well, your DA is based from the kind of backlinks you get, so that is the only thing you can do - get linked. If your backlink profile contains many good quality links, then that's the time your DA increases. There are no other ways to do it.

Great, original content that will attract good, natural links from high DA websites. The hard way is the best way here, no shortcuts!

thank you for all replies. my site is an ecommerce site so i think articles will not work on my side.
so i will get high DA links then. So which should i check for DA? moz or ahrefs?

OP, Da doesn't matter its just a metric and can be easily manipulated.
You can easily throw some tired links or guest post to the root domain and walah! you got your Da increased.

It's simple, build spam free do follow back links from high DA authority sites.

Guest posting is always worth trying. A little trick I heard is to look for influencers in your niche and see if there are any broken links. Then figure out from the context what they were linking to and provide some content that works for the context. Then email them to tell them about their broken link and provide a link to your awesome content!

Optimize the product descriptions and make them unique. 250 words each would work really well. Most e-commerce sites just recycle the same description that is on other sites. If you can do this you will surely get great on-page as compared to most of your competitors.

You can't check ahrefs for DA, ahrefs has DR while moz has DA. If anything, you should forget about DA and pay more importance to DR. Imo, DR is a solid metric, better than TF and way superior than DA. You can have spammy sites with high DA as well. DA really isn't what most people make it out to be.

thanks. but sometimes writing different descriptions are really hard. how do you achieve that?

Everything is measured by the amount and quality of the links by their moz metric system - so you can't get high DA/PA without backlinks.
While your question was answered above, still, DA/PA can be rigged and it is not an entirely accurate metric system.
Blasting a gigantic blast of article links from automated software like gsa ser or equivalent, can bump up the DA/PA very quickly. A huge and consistent blast (none-stop) would normally increase the DA/PA to close to 40 like that. But having a DA/PA close to 40 is not translated to better ranking, etc, in the process.

A Simple & UnEthical Trick
Go Through to Expireddomains.net, Take All Domains with CF more than 10. Check their DA, You'll find many 40-50 DA site. I bet all of them are De-Indexed/Penalised by Google. Buy That Domain. 301 Redirect Domain to the site whose DA you want to Increase.

Ps- It's just an Idea. I never tried myself. However, Moz and Other SEO tools don't fucking care if Site/Page is Indexed by Google or Not. So, 90% Chance trick will work. And I don't see any Negative Effect for Money Site Since, Google has already De-Indexed that Domain and Will not Fucking Care about that Domain.
