how about facebook right side ads

we have some very old google adwords account but all of them were slapped.
so we opened microsoft adcenter account but we consider it not very good.
we are going to use facebook right side ads to market.

is there anybody using that? How do you think of it? effective? cpc is very slow? conversion rate is high?

Give me some opinions pls.
Any suggestion is apprecited.

It depends on your niche, I am promoting my site with FB (Gaming site) and I'm getting great visitors, and signups (just a video site), but Facebook is really good because you can target only people who "liked" a certain fan page, and also by GEO-Targeted which is great, I've found that FB is the most targeted advertising program ;)
 
This is one of the best. After Google Adsense, facebooks ads are doing good for me.......I'm using facebook ads from last 3 months. But there is one dis-advantage, you can see ur ads in facebook.

There are already a bunch of FB marketing gurus in this forum. Also please don't think Facebook marketing program is new to fellow marketers, It will reach soon the stage of saturation. It is very targeting, But results there generally yields up there when you have a good budget.

I didnt convert with facebook ads too well. Getting viral fan pages still seems to be an easier method to drive traffic.
 
Guys, advertising on Facebook is the same as advertising on any other platform, in that you need to have GOOD ADS!

Strong advertisements are what bring in leads, not just exposure to a link. I normally provide Facebook ads for $3/ad, but I'm offering this service to you BHW members for just $1/ad.

you need to keep in mind that people are for entertainment on facebook.!!

Your success on this platform will depend on what it is you are trying to market. Keep in mind that you may see much lower CTR's on FB because people are there for different reasons. CTR's are higher in search because people often use search engines to shop. One of the great things about FB advertising is that you can enter highly focused information about your target demographic to get good results.

Expect to see approx 1/8th of the clicks you pay for on FB. I didn't believe a company would commit such obvious click fraud so I had to try it for myself. I ran a campaign paying $50 a day with $0.10 max. I was getting roughly 800-1000 clicks a day on facebook that I had to pay for, but my analytics could only account for 100-150 visitors a day. It's not like they were coming through some other referrer that I wasn't seeing either because my traffic certainly did not increase by 800-1000 visitors a day.

You are correct.
They will take money without real clicks.
 
Social networking advertising is considered to be the most effective of them all and i think facebook is a good choice , but just make sure it looks attractive enough!
 
Amen brotha! You said it...he just dropped a GEM on you...A good ad is a good ad and it's ALL about the ads...
