Ok, I hadn't heard much about this until recently, but if there's a substantial price increase I would end up paying a fair chunk more in renewals for all my .com domains and websites every year.
Read about the Verisign monopoly, and how in November 18 their agreement expires which means they can begin to hike prices..
If you don't want price increases, year after year, take 2 minutes to sign the petition to try and stop this happening.
