Actually it matters a lot.
When you are a brand it can boost sales to the next level because customers trust you more and make purchases.
It also opens you new ways for collaborations with celebs and other people that have power.

You need to make sure the seller is legit, you need to make sure you are being verified for the right genre (public figure, businessman, musician etc), by someone from the right region (if their media portal is for athlete's in the middle east and they verify you as a European singer, you can get de-verified) and you should keep adding to the press if possible even after verification so if there's ever a manual check, you are the real deal.

It depends.

It makes it much easier to reach out to other celebrities and verified profiles and get a reply and for them to take you seriously.

It makes you look like a celebrity in the eyes of random people.

It makes your comments go to the top of the comments on other people's posts so if you can make engagable comments, it's a good way to grow your profile.

Yes it's possible. You need to get articles published about yourself on websites first (the verification sellers usually sell these services) then they will request through their portal for verification and you will be verified if the press is good. A common way to do this right now is to pretend you are a rapper or producer.
