Hey guys,

I have lost a significant sum of money to the fact that I still haven't found a working credit/debit card payment processor for my business. My business model/niche is lead generation and web design.

It's been like this since 2018. The whole pain, loss, hassles, financial instability due to lack of a stable payment processor. But I will never use PayPal again since they banned my account twice. And it's a nightmare for my stealth account back then.

Stripe is not available in my jurisdiction. 2checkout didnt approve me, PayOP takes 3 months to approve or verify my application (I have emailed them severally, still in the verification loop). Most high risk payment processor i registered request an SSN and US signer (I have a registered US LLC company, business bank account, EIN etc. I am not from the US).

I would like to rent a Stripe account (Not stealth account or anything shady that could get blocked or throwaway my money). You can take 5% per transaction that I make and payout to me instantly per transaction, as your submerchant.

My niche is lead generation and web design. I seriously need help, I'm burning out.

Payment: take 5%-7% from each transaction I make.
I will provide my US bank account. You will pay me instantly per transaction. Maybe you can automate the payment process as instant per transaction.

If 2checkout did not approve you, then you are doing something of high risk. You can try CCBill then, they are high risk focused payment processor. As you mentioned that you are burning out I decided to comment although I do not have stripe accounts that I would be happy to burn with your business, I could offer advice in this case.

Most of the time, those companies when reviewing your business - their managers just scan your page for specific triggers, and if found - they simply decline your application. Only if you are lucky - they will tell you what is wrong with your business.

Lead gen and webdesign do not sound to me as super shady stuff so I will make a wild guess here and assume that it's the wording on your website that throws them off.

For the period of approval, you should change your wording on your website and avoid using too strong claims, like "We will guarantee sales" or "Get XXXX leads every day".

And make sure you have all possible policies available on your website, including ToS, refund policy, privacy policy, a well designed contact form with companies contact details, etc. Make your page look legit af, avoid strong claims and you will get validated even if your business is questionable.

You can open your own Stripe account by creating US-based company, it will cost around 500$ and it's a super easy process, you can check it here https://stripe.com/atlas dunno why you can't open your own stripe account if you already have LLC registered in US but Im not very skilled in legal stuff, I just happened to open a stripe account with very shady and questionable business by just shaping my homepage to avoid using claims that could then be used for chargeback reasons. In my case it was weight loss page and I removed claims that users will lose weight guaranteed - stripe approved my application without questions.

My problem with Stripe Atlas is that they seem to force you to incur more ongoing costs which I do not have, honestly. It's a decent business, not really doing large sales but can scale in the future as efforts are being made.

My LLC, EIN, and Registered Agent are in Missouri. Do I need to cancel my Missouri LLC? This took me off a bit.
I have a bank account already.
  • Delaware registered agent—$100 per year: I pay $40 per year with Missouri
  • Corporate tax preparation—packages start at $250 per year: Missouri never charges this.
  • Delaware tax filing—preparation is free, Delaware fee starts at $225: Missouri never charges this.
Please correct me if I am wrong. I really need to get something done. I have lost $30 + $69 in sales in the past 3 hours for this reason. It's hectic here.

Missouri, Delaware, Stripe does not see a difference there as to approving you or you using their service.

Odds are that @lucky.sparks is correct as to the verbiage on your site being the block if everything else is in line with their terms of service.

Thanks for your input. I have sent the Stripe sales dept. an email just now. I asked them to confirm whether:
  • My Missouri entity will work
  • $500 one-time fee + per transaction charges would be my total cost of using Stripe Atlas
I will wait on their reply and come back here later.

Sometimes it's more sense to pay a respectable company a bit more for fewer headaches, at my IM starting point I couldn't afford stripe either, their fees forced me to look for alternatives. But at one point, it makes sense to pay 300$ more per year but to have a reliable service. 300$ a year - It's only 25$ a month. You said you just lost 100$ in sales because of bad setup, sounds like investing in Atlas would increase your ROI a lot.

If you can't figure out Stripe still after speaking with them, I can likely help with the setup.

Please PM more details about the business, URL and current sales volume.

Thank you. I may use your help as soon as I get a reply. Fingers crossed.

VOILA!

I created a Stripe account today and it was easier than it used to be a year ago. I contacted their chat support and they confirmed my account is ready to go. I got the verified Stripe account with my LLC, EIN, Business bank account, biz phone number, and my very own national ID (not some BS stealth ID). I am so excited!

Thanks to BTB, Tidelow and Lucy.Sparks

#Update

PayOP also replied to my email finally. My project (website) has been approved, after about 5 months of trying. They confirmed two days ago that I can start accepting payments even tho it will take some time to approve my business/company. With PayOP, one thing is to get your project approved, another thing is to get your business/company approved. I will have to wait çause I don't trust accepting payments that may eventually get stuck and not payout into my business bank account. I heard good things about PayOP and it's pretty obvious they help you accept payments globally in almost about 50 payment methods (just like Stripe).

I will use PayOP as a backup when they do the second approval hopefully.

Thank you all once again!
