I have roughly 2000 words written for part 2. Indexing is something I’ve been doing some testing with. I started with a new domain and with an aged domain; split testing. I want something definitively conclusive to post on the thread for newbies.

Is there a general rule of thumb how many backlinks you can add at once without raising suspicion or getting penalized? I know about drip feeding them, but even then, how long should I wait between links and can I add more then one at a time?

I prefer doing them in a manner that they will seem natural. Look at your ahref report or whichever tool you use. Estimate how many backlinks you have been getting in the past per day/week/month. Then use a factor to increase them on your drip feed. This gets my backlinks indexing immediately.

You're right here. However, are you talking about tiered link building? Sending links to your tier 1 backlinks, which you make them tier 2 backlinks, spacing them out which indexes your tier 1? Is that you what you mean by "indexing immediately"?

I'm talking about when you start from scratch. I'm in a niche where guestpost and natural links doesn't really occur. With an older site I agree with you and what you are saying about making it look natural.
I was thinking Tier 1 links.

Oh...ok. That is actually a tricky one. Maybe you just start small like 5-10 in day, wait for them to be indexed and then add incrementals slowly. A new one can be tricky!

You don't need to create tiered links solely for indexing. Take a look at this, this works for indexing:

But maybe I wasn't clear in my question.
I'm about to launch a new site, starting from scratch with a clean domain. And I have a decent amount of backlinks I can get to this site. But I'm assuming that if a brand new domain gets 50 backlinks the first week that Google is gonna think something is not right. So I was wondering how many I can add in the beginning and if there is a rule of thumb for how long between each link I should wait when I add more? I.E first week I add 5 links all linking to my new site, then I wait 10 days and add 1-2 more, then another 10 days and so on untill all 50 links points toward my site.
*edit* Assuming the get indexed straight away which won't happend but still.. Speaking hypotheticly

There's no standard amount of time or backlinks. What people generally do is wait 2-3 weeks to build backlinks for new websites & sometimes 1 week or so for new content on a site that already has backlinks.
Though, I will say for brand new sites, you need to wait at least a month. Building links to a brand new website to me seems like obvious link building in the eyes of Google.
