Grow Fanpage Method

I am about to start a fanpage. I figured I would invest maybe 100 $ or so into ads to get it going. And the next step would be to promote some sort of giveaway to hopefully help it go viral. Is this a good idea? anybody have any other methods I should know about, thanks for your input.

Do not post givaways if you arent actually giving away anything facebook will unpublish your page even if you givaway something you need proof to include it in the appeal id it gets unpublished..

Just share on other pages or groups...
7th xonvert profiles to fanpages have similar name and merge them..
Ylu need to learn some tricks for this tho or you may end up with limits on your page
