I've been blogging and affiliate marketing for over 8 years. I've watched several of my blogs get index number one in Google but that hasn't happened in years.
Google, You're A Monster
Even the few times I was ranked number one in Google, it only lasted a month or two before I quickly got dropped back down Into obscurity.
No matter how much effort I put into it, I could never seem to revive a Blog who's been slapped, de-indexted or re-monetized by Google.
And that was the good old days...
Blogging is a Ugly Game
Everyday is a struggle, Google has changed, or should I say - the MONEY has changed EVERYTHING, unfortunately Google is no exception.
It's obvious, simply do a Google search and you'll see a long list of paid ads, index before blogs, but it hasn't always been that way.
There was a time, 6 or 8 years ago you could write good content and get indexed and Google pretty high without a problem. Those days are over, It's a new day for sure.
Sidestep the Competition
I'm always looking for a shortcut, the easy way, I knew there had to be an easier way, I just had to find it.
I actively internet market 10 to 12 hours a day, this is how I make a living. It took a long time but I finally found what I was looking for.
My New Approach to Blogging
I still occasionally make a blog post, once or twice a month. Blogging everyday isn't happening anymore, besides it's not worth the effort.
My new approach is adding short affiliate pages instead of long blog post.
The idea is quantity over quality. It's the opposite of what I learned as an internet market but it seems to be working.
