I've been blogging and affiliate marketing for over 8 years. I've watched several of my blogs get index number one in Google but that hasn't happened in years.

Google, You're A Monster
Even the few times I was ranked number one in Google, it only lasted a month or two before I quickly got dropped back down Into obscurity.

No matter how much effort I put into it, I could never seem to revive a Blog who's been slapped, de-indexted or re-monetized by Google.

And that was the good old days...

Blogging is a Ugly Game
Everyday is a struggle, Google has changed, or should I say - the MONEY has changed EVERYTHING, unfortunately Google is no exception.

It's obvious, simply do a Google search and you'll see a long list of paid ads, index before blogs, but it hasn't always been that way.

There was a time, 6 or 8 years ago you could write good content and get indexed and Google pretty high without a problem. Those days are over, It's a new day for sure.

Sidestep the Competition
I'm always looking for a shortcut, the easy way, I knew there had to be an easier way, I just had to find it.

I actively internet market 10 to 12 hours a day, this is how I make a living. It took a long time but I finally found what I was looking for.

My New Approach to Blogging
I still occasionally make a blog post, once or twice a month. Blogging everyday isn't happening anymore, besides it's not worth the effort.

My new approach is adding short affiliate pages instead of long blog post.

The idea is quantity over quality. It's the opposite of what I learned as an internet market but it seems to be working.

Everything changes and so google. You must play their game if you want to make money.

Me: Sitting here and watching my ranking drop every single day. lol

As @Sherbert Hoover read this thread title, his hands trembled and adrenaline rushed to his heart. How dare you post against Google?! he thought.... As he grabbed the mouse he suddenly felt it slip...he was sweating...he moved the mouse over to the reply area.

"WHAT is this thread?" he said.

- "It ...it's just...a opinion man..."

- "We don't need no dang negative opinions about Google here."

- "Ss ssorry man..."

- "I need to contact Matt Cutts right away and have a positivity session with him, in a sauna, I mean, in a starbucks."

- "Yesssir...sorry man...so sorry..."

- "GTFO!"

As he tugged his Colt .45 back, pulled a cute photo of Matt Cutts out of his wallet and sighed.

When people don't find your blog/review helpful (click on your blog/review and exit in 10 sec) google will "slap" you. This 90% of the time problem. My 2 cents, focus on your content.

Surprisingly accurate!

I think it's should be publish on a PBN. Do you have some spin copy?

and all guys that work at google they can suck my dick too
Just the guys...

OP:
I don't view it as quantity OR quality. I have a site I am building up to get into an ultracompetitive niche. I do at minimum a post a day, sometimes 2, sometimes an extra video, or ebook, or Infographic, but daily I put out 1-2 great pieces of content...every. single. day.
I am going for a website with mountains of informative content, tons of it.
It doesn't have to be an either/or game.

quantity over quality

You're right... but don't shout this too loud, most people haven't caught on yet. Google values constant updates and site growth over old-school 500-700 word blog posts in your site's "blog" section. They want to see a large interconnected website with lots of different layouts and media mixed in. Just text won't cut it. I'll leave it at that.

Panda, Penguin and Hummingbird, you cant control them, whats next? Google already improved their algorithm, everyone affect. If your traffic is like a rollercoaster, it is part of the Google game, part of your life now as seo

PBN would not work here….Permanent homepage links would not provide you sufficient leads so; try to use something which is considered as the powerhouse of everything… like editorial guest post links from a magazine, premium news or any other relevant site.
