Google Update - May 27th 2022 - What I Have Noticed

Don't be mortified with page speed, google doesn't give a shit, my site passed 100% CWV, and still got hit.

Advice to all, focus on other projects, you are wasting time waiting for the situation to change. You are mentally exhausting yourselves.

Still wild fluctuations and no improvements in sight.
Oh well... I guess, it's time to work a bit more.

Just wait till next update and you will regain rankings. Do not take this advice seriously please. I was joking.

Has anyone of you ever seen Amazon on position 0?

Well I saw it today. For like two hours an informational snippet of my site got replaced with an Amazon one and than changed back to my snippet...

I mean, I'm not in affiliate niches anymore, but even in the past I have never seen something like this.

Just some pages got affected for me so I definitely can continue work on the site and do some analysis on the affected pages.
Just a bit more work but it might help in the future.

After reading some comments, I am now really confused.
We need to wait a few days to determine what to do to rank again.

Same for me. I lost a decent amount of impressions and clicks but I will not give up. Why should I?

I put so much effort in the website and now I'm just trying some things like optimizing older content, adding some relevant schema markups and try to steal competitors snippets plus adding new and surrounding content.

It could work out on the long term or not, but at this moment my website gets some traffic back.

For me it is different as it is for others who have more sites or have affiliate sites. If I would still do what users do which have affiliate sites and got hit hard I think I would try something new.

If you don't see anything recover in the last few days or things got even worse than it is pointless to try and keep the website alive. Just let it stay online and see what happens, while you spent your time on a new project.

Yup, working on the old articles, adding new ones, and then work on the hit articles.

I worked on a few articles who where like shadow banned on the SERPs and shortened the content plus adding new relevant content. They are visible now. Not on page 1 but page 2 is a good start for this short period of time.

See? for me... I don't have this problem.
Improved some... added some... not as good as I was hoping for but definitely better.
But... I haven't touched the hit articles yet.

Well, something amazing has just happened...

It looks like all the keywords I lost 2 weeks ago are now back, some even higher ranking than before. The traffic looks to be back to normal too since mid-day today.

Not counting my chickens yet but this looks promising. I've had a nightmare 2 weeks, to be honest.

There's a chance I might not have to open OnlyFans after all...

The only plus side of that period is that I started working like crazy and kicked off 4 new projects to save my ass.

If you still has a good relevant content in the website that lags to show ranking better share them to social media platforms that could get you better traffic. And improve the quality of content and update them regularly.

yes currently working on 2 new websites and got indexed pretty fast, not added to gsc not using any social signals or indexing service

making any changes to your sites that affected by this update is more like gambling, it could go bad or good, better try different project

I can attest that all of my sites went up and some of them had like 30-40 CWV others 99.
