This completely sucks balls, the worst update ever to the keyword tool. This is even worse than their "animal" updates every year, because we can at least find a way to beat the algorithms, but this Google move is clearly "pay to play" the game. So, now what, are we going to do keyword research with those shitty range figures? If yes, then finding profitable long tail keywords to target just got a lot more harder!
I'm sure there are or will be tools that will give can give data from before.

I found a small way to tackle this.
- I have SERPBook by @lanbo
, I grab keywords using Planner tool and simply copy and paste them in SERPBOOk.
- Make sure you turn on the option "Search Volume" in SERPBOOK
- Paste those keywords and refresh.
- You'll get exact search metrics.
Tested Personally and verified 38 keywords in Different Niche.
- I have SERPBook by @lanbo

Once you have the browser add-on installed and the api key activated, click on the "K" icon in the browser bar and go to "Get metrics for my keywords". You can now post as many keywords as you want and get accurate search volume data for it.
(Currently works for Global, US, UK, CA, AU and ZA data)

Don't know why there are so many people still complaining here when there's still a easy workaround for this. Unless google fixes that too there's no reason to worry right now.

5. Choose keywords with much more CPC than $.01
6. Finish the setup

The low cost means that the ads will be enabled but never fire because the budget is not there.

Keyword Revealer sent me an email saying they have exact volume metrics back on their service, I've not tried it yet...
It's like $30 a month, and way quicker to use than keyword planner.
