Google Bot Fooled!?!

You clearly dont follow my line of thought. So let me ask again.
Suppose I will play with Open Graph properties of the page and will change the "article:modified_time" every minute.

1. Do you think Google Bot will crawl me more often?
2. Do you think Google Bot will show that date in its search snippet?

You might change the OGP Modified Time and Google might crawl it, but leave 'Date', 'Time' on Snippet would not be changed unless there is a change in content of that page. Google stops respecting your OGP data once it becomes meaningless. And, crawl cannot guarantee update on Search Index - "View Cached Version"; While backlinks lead Google to crawl a page, only a change on webpage can lead Google to update its search index & snippet.

To keep it simple,
1. First few crawl attempts would be a success, but not thereafter
2. Crawl cannot guarantee Snippet Update
 
First see meta tags & then using yoast to submit the xml sitemap.

There is a small misconception here. Google doesnt "scan" your page periodically in a search for changes, it uses a statistical algorithm that depends on the backlinks. The more statistically significant your page is per time frame (ie the more links it received) the better are the chances your page will be recrawled. The date you see on the snippet is not the modification date, it is the last crawl date.

Google bot scans all the html code, a change in the meta tag is a change of the content. You don't need the change the real content.
This website use "Social Locked" plugin, so there will be a lot of Social Shares to the page all the time=> google see the social shares and crawl the link => google see the change in meta tag => update in snippet.
The key is to get a lot of social share and make sure google bot often recrawls your links.
I've done this kind of meta tags before, site got deindexed after 4 months. Don't know if it's because of the meta tags or because of social signal spamming.

What after crawling? What abt Updating Search Index? Think beyond that ... dnt stick to the basics

I'm doing same without any luck & that plugin is not the reason.
He's not using Social locker on all of his posts but still all of them shows updated timestamp is snippets.
 
This is REAL blackhatstuff and site is doing well since last 2 years.
 
I think, he's fetching url's each hour. He might be using tons of Google account and then fetching url with https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/submit-url?hl=en_uk

u can fetch as u like.. but is Google that foolish to not just crawl, but also update its snippet time

one of the members has said that Background Javascript triggers Google to do so... I am technically weak... do u have any idea on it
