Google + failed at beating Facebook, because people are already on Facebook, there's nothing more to gain by moving to another platform.
Btw, people are already bored by social networks, it's just not the megatrend it used to be. Statistics show that users spend less time nowadays on Facebook, and even Google+

I was in accounting class 2 days ago and my friends were saying how a facebook worm got into their groups and they are going to move to G+ next year because of the nasty images going viral at Facebook. If you have seen it you know what they are talking about all I know is that they told me it is a black guy with a wrong organ in a dress... I haven't seen it for myself and I don't plan on it because I respect my computers conditions. Beware though you will get some major infection on your computer.

I totally disagree, as Google is slowing generating a lot of hatred from millions of users. People frown on monopolies and Google would be put in check. Google+1 would never replace or surpass Facebook for such reasons.

Alot of the issues you addressed in this post have area already irrelevant, for example the fact that Google+ lets you add people to circles without friending them, Facebook already implemented Subscriptions, which essentially solves that problem.
There isn't going to be another company that outdoes Facebook at Facebook, if there's going to be a giant that displaces them it will have to be something completely innovative, that noone has even thought of before, and perhaps isn't possible yet with technology we currently have.

I personally think that Google + won't do that great. Marketers might think it's a good idea to be able to say this to one group and not to another, but you have to think about this.
Most people on the internet using facebook are using it for dumb ass reasons. I personally think that 98% of my friends list is just there for reposting the latest political craze, youtube video, boo hoo my boyfriend dumped me, etc. They want everyone to see that shit so they get more attention.
I don't think facebook is going anywhere, anytime soon.

My non techie friends doesn't seem to like g+. I think it's too complicated for them. I don't think it'll beat facebook, but who knows what the big G can do.

Facebook Rules the world as it has all the poeple who visit it and rest go to twitter.
Also as nobody like google so google will have debt of Billions of Dollars every month and all its employees commit suicude, lol.

Actually we must understand that facebook twitter are just websites of webmasters like us which just clicked and got big. The real online existence which is not just a website is google and no matter how beautiful facebook is or how many people like this. They have nothing to compare to google plus or any other feature of google now or years to come. Even google buzz could be hit but google has so many other things to work on, even if google buzz seperately as a website was on 200 alexa rank, they have every reason to believe that it not good enough to include as a feature with google.
And those who say facebook has people to like it, lol. remember your primary email ID where you recieve all the loveletters from Affiliate companies is on google itself.
And I am happy that if have not understood how to spam facebook and twitter, I will definitely be able to spam on google plus, hehe.
