Google Algorithm Update? Really?

Hello guys,


I was today having a read on the web and I found something that worried, it says about a new update on the Google algorithm that could affect ranks to a lot of people:

Is this true at all? Can someone please explain to me since I am a bit scared with the rank of some of my webs.

Haven't noticed any major changes in rankings, most of people report about positive changes only. Few of my sites went 2-3 positions up. May be calm before the storm?
