Hey, I'm Bacchusbeats, from this point on I'm gonna work on making music in my free time (also a student). As of now I'm only making beats but I plan to start rapping down the line. I only have one beat uploaded as of now on youtube/soundcloud which has 1.4k views. My goal is to eventually earn 5k a month which isn't too hard in the rap "niche" because once one person is talking about your music it spreads like wildfire (think 6ix9ine, lil pump). Anyways, I've been lurking on these forums for a while but I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing but I'm probably gonna figure it out down the line. First goal is to reach 10k views so I can actually get my youtube account monetized. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Wait are you serious or you're just fucking with us? Just a couple questions for you..

Are you reppin Westside? So you're trigger fingers turned to twitter fingers? How gangster are you? What's your street cred like? That's a big deal in the rap game. Has anyone ever, and I mean ever, accused you of being a bitch? How many multis to a bar? Are you truly prepared for this venture to not work and for you to have to go back to drug dealing and re-opening the trap house? Are you on Soundcloud? Do you give free copies of your mixtape? Have you ever watched Malibus Most Wanted? What kinda gats we talking?

All important questions, would love to help.

Haha, I'm not saying I'm some kind of street gangbanging rap professional. I'm just looking on these forums and I see most methods are short term or really work-intensive. With rap you can just drop something semi-hot then hop on twitter and diss a big rapper so yea, twitter fingers bro. Btw, writing this from the trap house where me and Dequan are working on our new mixtape "Sippen lean in da hood 4." Pls cop on Soundcloud?

    Dont quit your day job.

I am sure everybody diss a big rapper, rock star, sports athlete, everybody mom, etc.

Not sure if you are into betting but I am sure you much of chance winning the lotto than making it big in da game
My best advice learn to market yourself.

    how about this rap

You tried to diss a big rapper
or maybe you try to diss kiss
most likely you get hit by somebody fist

    or

    My name is Mike
    My hat is so black
    I pimp slap attack Google
    to give me #1 Ranking

Split test your raps, see which ones convert better, and then scale from there.
True marketing is the key to success, not skill. You need good equipment too, to make your own sound.

    ^ Not bad.

In all seriousness bro, you definitely have to know that it is extremely tough to do what you're trying to do.

And $5k/month? As an online rapper? Interesting. Well best of luck on your journey my dude!
