    Hi people from blackhatworld. This thread is not directly linked to business in any way. But in many accasions this will improve your business life aswell.

    Why? Because stress will be less and even in stressful moments you won't be affected as much anymore. You will be less likely too make impulsive decision. Procrastination will not be a problem, and your focus will be much better.
    Meeting you will crush, because you are present to the moment and are more aware of the underlying things that are going on.

    I could go on for a while but you get the point I hope.

    I am not a meditation guru by any means, but I have my fair share of mediation sessions. I've Started about 4 years ago but at the beginning I didn't do it daily but whenever I felt like it, now I do it daily for almost a year. I would recommend you to do it daily aswell, because then you do see things changing in your daily life.

    For beginners start with 5 minutes a day. Always set a timer and try to sit trough that. Once that goes well keep building it up until 20 minutes a session.

    Meditation is wonderful and there is no right or wrong way to meditate if you will, but in my opinion some forms of meditation are more powerful than others. I will go over a few right now.

    You have guided meditation, which is really helpful for people who can't go trough a full meditation session. There are thousands of guided meditation video's online.

    Mindfulness meditation, you can choose to meditate with eyes openend or close. Both do has their benefits. I won't go into the differences to deeply, but I prefer to meditate with my eyes closed because I get into a deeper meditation state. In this meditation you will focus on your breath. You can do this with breathing tactics. I prefer slow 8 seconds breath in 2 second hold and 8 seconds out. Do it slowly so you can't even hear your own breath. While doing this random thoughts will pop into your head. This it totally okay just let them be and don't judge them. If they start taking over focus on your breath again. Don't judge your meditation sessions after you are done. Enjoy the time how present you are.

    Sitting position: as I stated before, there is no right or wrong. Many people assume that if you meditate you sit like a monk in lotus position. You can do this, but I don't prefer it. I like to sit in a nice comfortable chair. But this can be done laying in bed or even standing. This is totally up to you.

    Meditation will change your life overtime. After about 2 weeks you will see results in your life. The more you meditate the more you will become the real you.

    I can confirm this .

    Thought it was a joke until I tried it by the start of this yr , meditated for around 20 days , 10 mins at the evening and I absolutely could tell the difference

    I was less stressed , more focused , could better control my emotions , however for some reasons I had to quit ( was a on trip with no internet access , was using headspace and stopped ) , but definitely will start again .

    Your physical & emotional state will directly affect the way you live your life / make decisions and everything in between . It also helped me quit smoking , this coz I could tell how bad my health was back then , it has always been awful but I wasnt "aware" until then . 100% sure you won't regret it ! and hey its only 10 mins a day ,

    no way he is one of its students , I can tell , guy can't fly , nor can he make a million dollas by using meditation techniques ,

    your opinion has no arguments on its side , hence biased and untrue ,

    Awesome for trying meditation! A lot of people won't even give it a try because of the weird stigma hanging around it. I also had some breaks from meditation, I think they are necesery to actually realise how important meditation actually is. I hope you can get back to meditation soon :)

    People may say that postured meditation is useless but you never realize your lack of discipline until you pick up a discipline of postured meditation such as vipassana. Having a practice is a game changer just like exercising everyday.

    HeadSpace had a promo last Black Friday I think. $.99 for three months of Premium. I got it and didn't even finish the "Take 10," which is their intro to meditation. I do feel better every time I meditate. I just keep making excuses not to integrate it into my daily routine.

    This is the truth. I used to have a lot of anxiety that even made me miserable sometimes. I'm probably one of those whose mind
    is racing all the time. Meditation really calms you down and gives you a better focus. It's a shame it's generally considered bs and useless.

    I agree, I used to have social anxiety aswel. But meditating calmed it down. Terrible that people judge meditating without even giving it a try.

    I'm going to try it, it can't be worse that in the state I'm in. People laugh at this, but fact is stress, badly managed, can really make you perform at half speed, even slower. There are multiple serious studies that can confirm that your brain changes under severe stress. Multitasking has really upped the stress tenfold, meditating can sound like a 60s thing that the beatles would do, but I think in no time has been more relevant and important than in this modern world to be in complete control of your emotions and your anxieties. Meditating is one way to accomplish this, for what I've seen in others.

    If you dont ever see me posting again, disregard the above paragraph as shit, (most likely you'll do it anyway)
