Here's an Instagram Tool that hopefully will be helpful to some. There are a handful of others but they have a ton of ads, don't do anything besides download a post, and can be pretty unreliable.

My tool has zero ads and also has some extended functionality. I was using it for myself, but have recently decided to make it public. There are a few members here who have already been using it and have been pretty happy with it. Note: I'm currently working on the user interface so expect improvements.

Features (released so far):
* Download an Instagram Post (image or video)
* Download ALL posts by a specific username (currently maxed at 50, but I'm happy increase that if anyone is interested)
* Track downloaded posts
* Shareable collections

* I'm taking suggestions for feature requests & overall improvements so if there's anything you'd like me to add just let me know.

Again, this isn't anything revolutionary, but I figure some more people would appreciate knowing about it. No download required here so you won't have to deal with that, just a web app:

Interesting idea. Is uploading files to IG with the same hash something you've seen issues with in the past?

Well at Facebook same hashes are a problem so I would guess they implemented the same behavior to instagram aswell.

Yes, the track everything there.
If you dont change hash they will ban you.
 
@blackmint Weird. I just tried scraping a post and a collection of posts and it seemed to be working fine. I sent you a PM to get more details.

Few suggestions to make it the best Instagram downloader:

1- Increase the limit or set it unlimited
2- Add install from hashtag, location
3- If you add install from hashtag or location, then include the IG user or rename the file with IG user who post it instead of "post-0" to "user1" or "@User1"
4- Add filters (likes, comments, date)
5- If you could add the caption of the post from:

Source:
Collected on:

to

Caption:
Source:
Collected on:

That could be really helpful to know the photographer/owner of the photo fast without clicking the link in "Source"

I'll go ahead and increase the limit a bit. Might make a selection option to keep it lower by default for people who don't care.

For the searching by hashtag / location, would the idea be: you would enter a hashtag or location (potentially using additonal filters) and the tool would return x amount of posts that satisfy those filters? Seems right, but let me know and I'll work on it.
