People usually use leverage while trading in futures, so be careful, as the crypto market is quite in the hands of whales, who work in cohort with the crypto exchanges, in order to manipulate prices, so that leverages trades get liquidated on a regular basis. When leverages trades get liquidated, the exchanges make a LOT of money (profits) and the whales have their share of the cake(s), in the process. You may not understand this now, but just remember this part.

BTW notice the minus sign , so it is a loss.
Last week BTC dropped a few times and I have considered that $10k is enough to lose because I have reached the liquidation price and to keep open the position I have to add more money, so I closed the position in loss. Interesting that after 2 days I saw that the price went in the opposite direction (I was very close to something big) but..... I had no luck (caused only by a few consecutive drops).

After you learn the mechanics and how the instrument works, pick a major (if you trade crypto) and:
1. Switch to a 5min time frame. Yes, it's a lot of noise, but I assume you trade small while learning and not risking too much.
2. Mark levels of support and resistance.
3. If you get a red candle at one of your levels - short/sell, green - long/buy.
4. Put the stop-loss above the previous high/low.
5. Make sure that you didn't remove the stop-loss. (Did I tell you that you always should have it?).
6. Target 2R (if you risk 1% your take profit level should be 2%).
7. Follow these rules religiously and document all the trades. After 100 trades make a review of your mistakes and make some tweaks. Look for what works and what doesn't.
8. If you are in green after 100 iterations, increase the position side and make another 100 trades.
9. Focus on the process.

Try to understand it well so u can control your thoughts and mindset while trading.

You can't trade only when you're in a good mood because you can't lose an opportunity because you are sad. For instance, two days ago was a clear upward movement for BTC so you cannot wait to align your good mood with a clear trend movement.
Youtube is good but not when a youtuber is making hundreds of videos because in that case, those videos have no value.

if you trade spot easy , if you are a day trader, there are trades every day, every session. So yeah you need to be focused and not emotional, clear brain no fog.

In 1900 many people thought that in 2000 people will be able to levitate on the streets.... there are hundreds of expectations of how people tried to predict the future and nowadays we can see how wrong they were. The same thing is with chatGPT, it will always appear a new version because it is incomplete.

I'm talking about daily future trading, not swing trading in big market moves.
lower time frame needs higher mindset stability.
I'm suggesting Youtube as a starting point. of course, when he understood the market he can move on to watching big traders with high PNL.

Trading is a competition.
even if all the traders were using bots, they all had to fight with each other for the best entry and exit point.
and better-programmed bots would outperform normal/cheaper bots.
so I don't think trading will ever generate money that easily.
as long as there are so many people working in a field, the field will always have competition.

Well... it is not really as you say
)In the morning when you wake up and open a position with "take profit" and a "stop loss" you can go to work and later you will see if it was a loss or win... why do you need a special mindset? Even after doing yoga, you cannot predict the future. This is why I say that the mindset doesn't matter. Whenever you create an account on a broker, you will see a notification like: "80% percent of the users from this platform are losing money", so you know from the beginning that there are huge chances of losing the money in the long term, no matter if you are relaxed or with a special mindset. The mindset is nothing in trading, you just need to be patient to allow the market to go up or down but the bigger your capital is, the better you can manage a losing position and in the worst case you can DCA until to break even or a very small loss,, but if you have no money you will take the loss.
