PS: I'm a little drunk' It is my 25th birthday today and it is depressing me because I'm half way to 50.

Reminds me of a funny scene from Sex and The City.

There are plenty of 50 and up guys/gals who would murder to switch places with you and your earnings.

So have another glass of whatever you're having. You might just become another self made internet millionaire by the time you're 30.

Clickbank can do it for you. Take my word for it.

Mike.

Well done Rich!

It's really nice to hear a positive follow-up to a (sort-of) journey thread. Unfortunately most newcomers to IM start out with lots of excitement and motivation, but give up before they make it.

With those numbers I reckon that you got a sweet-enough taste of IM that won't let you give up any time soon ;)

Keep crushing!

Thank you everyone! To answer some questions:

Bing Ads does not allow auto play videos or exit pop up scripts.

I sometimes provide a freebie, maybe an ebook or something and host that on mediafire. I use weebly and optimizely for my landing pages.

Direct linking can and will work if your vendor has a good sales copy. I decided to start building back up my lists because one day I decided to send an email to my list of 85 members and checked my CB account later that night to find $175 from that one email blast! When they say money is in the list, they are right.

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys!

I am a veteran by no means, but I will answer all questions to the best of my knowledge :)

Congrats to your success and hope you be very rich soon. Can you give us some advices on how to choose keywords and write ads?

3 products, still using bing. And I send traffic to a page to capture their email, that doubled my profits!

Thanks :)

I thought you were sending people directly to the product sales page. Are you sending them to your landing page first? Do you have to create a new site for a product, drive traffic to the site and collect emails using a landing page? And then send them ClickBank offers through email?

Could you please explain?? I really appreciate any response to the above! :)

That is basically correct, but you can always contact the vendor/owner of the sales page and ask them to provide you with an alternative hoplink which will disable the auto-play/exit popup among other elements to fit the requirements of your advertising platform.

Mike.

That's the same for google adwords - exit pop-ups are not allowed (although interstitial pages are).

However, most vendors who use exit pops on their pages will have alternative hoplinks you can use that will take the visitor to the page without the popups. Check on the vendor's affiliate page for hoplink instructions, or just contact the vendor directly.

I have a question. How exactly do you capture their emails? At the end of the sales pitch do you like have a box they fill out before they can purchase or how does it work? Sorry for the newbie question I am just starting out and I'm trying to understand how all this works.

I think he means that he sends prospects to a landing page with an opt-in box prior to making the sale. Hence, his subscribers are a mix crowd of prospects and actual customers.

OP, here's a little tip: when unsure about the methods to use, you can always reverse-engineer what the top affiliates are doing.

Say you have identified a good product with a great landing page and decent gravity. Type the name in google. The first hits you'll get will likely be from the product's top affiliates.

Check out their websites - most likely you'll see they are preselling the product and have an opt-in on their webpage.

Now, all you have to do is replicate (not copy!) their success...

Google's first 10 results do not necessary reflect the pages which belong to the top affiliates. Mostly these are "scam or legit", "download free" or "exclusive review" pages created by the average Joe.

Depends on the keywords searched in google. If you search for high-conversion keywords associated with the product, the first results WILL be pages from the affiliates bringing in the most sales. I'm not talking about keywords such as "is XYZ scam?" or "download XYZ free".

They could be bringing most of the sales, but unless this is a well constructed authority site, it's just a ticking bomb (Google wise) and I would not recommend taking this as an example.

Disagree.

If they have the resources to rank in first page of google for competitive keywords, I'm sure they will know about how to have a good presell and opt in set in place. We're not talking about SEO linking tactics and sustainability here, we're talking about giving the OP an example of a presell page + opt-in design.

And I disagree that the really great examples would be found in Google's first 10 results. From our experience, top affiliates (including us) do not work is such transparency (unless it's something you cannot easily imitate).

So you're claiming that the people who rank in the first page of google for competitive keywords would not know how to have a good landing page in place?
