Hello BHW!
My name is Rich, I have been bottom feeding on these forums as well as Warrior Forum; Taking in valuable information on the way. I started IM about a year ago and always knew there was potential to make money even tough it can be very daunting. I started small at Ad Work Media promoting a Game fly offer with PPC at Bing ads. I made 226$ in 1 month while spending 86 dollars in PPC. The offer randomly expired on the ad network and I immediately went to Commission Junction because they also had Game fly as promoter. I affiliated over there for about 2 weeks and made over 600 dollars while spending about 120$ in PPC on Bing ads as well. Soon to find out I received a ban on my account because I was using their keyword in my PPC campaign - "Game fly" and I was also direct linking. Don't get me wrong I was pissed but I knew I was in the wrong. All the earnings got reversed and I had to pay my bill to Bing ads. I finished my Bachelors degree for Comp Sci got a job, and soon realized I can't afford my monthly student loan payment of 560$ a month on a 38,000$ salary. So I went back into IM with my head held high. I always knew Click Bank existed but I always thought most of the products on there were very "cheesy" and "scammy". A few days ago I decided to randomly pick an offer that had a decent gravity rate and not that much competition. I went back to Bing ads and set up a campaign using google keyword tool and the keywords the publisher gave me through their affiliate page. I set a 50$ a budget and let it ride. My first day I made 116.40$ and I spent 18.43$ in PPC fees. I was really happy!. I was direct linking to the sales page and I had a 25% order page conversion rate. Not to shabby, considering this product has a 66$ rebill amount and I hope it sticks. The second day was not so good making 45.74 while spending 12.56$. It is a solid start in my book considering I know I wont be banned from all the stupid copy write rules that most other ad networks have! I have been setting my max bid on Bing ads to .22 a click. The second day I moved to 7 search with the exact same campaign and spent 6$, received 98 clicks and no order form impressions. I don't know if 7 search is that great. I am going to use my SEO knowledge from these forums as well as my split testing in PPC campaigns to hopefully improve and narrow down what keywords are the REAL converters. Until then, I'm going to ride this campaign out and start receiving checks to pay off my over priced student loans.
I just want to throw out another thank you all for coming together as a community and helping others willing to try and make some money on the InterWebz.
PS: I'm a little drunk' It is my 25th birthday today and it is depressing me because I'm half way to 50.
I'm willing to answer any questions on this thread and I plan to keep an update as the days grow long!
