I'm going to start a ads campaign but I'm confused what platform should I use - Some are telling Google Ads & Some are telling Facebook Ads. Where should I start first

Hate to say it but completely depends on what you are selling.
If you were selling "plumbing services" Facebook is nearly worthless. If I had a pipe that burst and my basement is flooded, I'm not looking for that on Facebook, I'm 100% going to Google.
If you are selling t-shirts retro, 80's tee shirts, facebook would be awesome, and Google not as much.
So they are both good, some verticals do well with both, some do better only on 1.
Facebook sucks for "intentional immediate buying" (I "need" it now), but good for spontaneous & non-intentional purchases.

I can agree that it depends on the product/service. On FB you can reach a wider audience but Google is more targeted (because of the keywords). But I hate both, the reason is, that Google will relegate your site once you stop paying. This is also true for FB, it holds your posts back.

GAds or FB Ads ? That depends on the niche(s) you intend to run.

I prefer facebook ads, but that depends on your product/service.
I sell clothes online and its easier for me to reach more people thru facebook ads because the majority of my potential customers spend pretty much all of their time on social media (young people) but if you are selling idk products like computers, cellphones, gadgets.. idk then as a customer myself is easier google ads.
