Enjoy Instagram botting while it lasts

I don't think IG has a bone to pick with botting when it comes to "normal growth". I think it's more against the spamming aspect of botting and selling likes and what not.

I believe the source you linked was talking about the public API. It sucks that it's being shut down, but it will only affect sites like Social Blade, etc. - Existing bots won't be affected by this (as long as Instagram doesn't drop support for older mobile devices). The reason why gmt2 and other services don't always update to the latest version is that IG releases a new update for their app almost every week and it isn't needed to update to the latest version unless you need the new features. (e.g. IG TV)

I am not sure what you mean by Ig "encrypting requests" because requests have always been encrypted and signed and you need to reverse engineer the app to decode it. If they do have some hidden trick hidden up their sleeve for 2019, it might cause issues for bots/services wanting to use the latest API version for the first few weeks but it will eventually be cracked.
This clears up the air.

Thanks for the most appropriate response @JJJackson

I'd say over 1/4 of Instagram's monthly "active users" are bots. Honestly probably more as there's so many like farms. 2/4 are private users who just like friends photos and post occasionally, follow a few meme pages. The other 1/4 make all of the content and are the real active users who post frequently and engage with their community. Maybe even less. Obviously these are just guesses as it's impossible to come up with the true statistics.

I believe Instagram needs botting and without it they'd see a decrease in active users just like the other social media networks all are seeing currently. As Instagram's AI increases, bots will too. A good quote is to "never keep all your eggs in one basket". Take what you can while you can and spread off into multiple ventures.

You want to say out of 800 mil active users 200 mil are bots? With that ratio nobody would use instagram

Camon, you can do better than that.

Very interesting cause i have a business where i sell these kinds of services via 3rd party and i would like to know look at the sources if this is real. ;)

It's up to 1B active users I believe. And dude, easily. Do you know how many accounts there are in like farms? How many people bot hundreds and thousands of accounts. How many people purchase a growth service. How many accounts are made daily to be aged, that follow/like every now and then to not get deactivated? It's a lot bigger than just on BHW too. I don't doubt more than 1/4 are bots and that is why Instagram is seeing a rise while all other social networks are decreasing in users.

Rise of machines!

I highly doubt that. Instagram is more present in news than fb nowadays (embeded). IMO less than 10% are bot accounts.

I also doubt its 250M bots. Lots of Sites providing IG likes, follows etc are simply resellers of the same services, therefore basically using the same accounts. It would also imply that everyone has 25%+ bot followers (probably more as bots usually follow more people than regular users), which I deem very unlikely, just check your own followers.

Its doubled in the last two years not only because of users...
But because of people saturating the botting market.

After reading to much nonsense in this thread I decided to explain some things.

Instagram botting will be easy until the end of 2019 when API v1 will be switched off.
With API v2 you won't be able to perform most of the actions including following/unfollowing.
Most of the requests will be encrypted.

Right now everyone uses app version 27.0.0.7.97 for simulating requests including GMT2 and Jarvee. That's because version 27.0 is the latest version that uses API v1.

For example, the newest version 58.0 use encrypted requests + API v2.

So everyone enjoys your botting, it will be very difficult and expensive at the end of 2019.
so ur saying that older android/older iOS instagram versions will be locked out? lol okay, sure thing

lmaoooo all these fearmongers, I get tired of y'all....

input like scrolling and such? okay then fuck right off. iMacros, here I come
