EMD - Case Study

Superb info. Will try building another website in hopes of following your success.. Thanks :)

Great thread, Danailo and Davids355.
I'm Joining you guys today :)

P.S Not gonna Hijack; but ill let you know, how it goes ;)

I stick only to .com/.net/.org I've tried many other TLDs last 2 years. No luck and solid results.

Ok. I'll be monitoring this thread closely, so if this succeeds, perhaps Google also has preferences over .co

I'll ask again if this was harder, easier or just the same as .com / net / org.

Thanks for keeping us updated.

Ordered 10x500 articles today for first web 2.0 blogs. Analytics show some traffic already -30-40 visitors daily.

When you built those backlinks, they were towards the domain, a certain page, or spread out?

I would really appreciate your opinion on my SEO plan :). I'm also trying to rank with Web 2.0s. I just started a new site, let's call it mysite.com.
I posted 7 manually written articles, 600-800 words each. My keywords have 1k-15k searches.

Now, for off-site SEO, my plan is this:
First I will make 8 web 2.0s (blogs, pdf, youtube..) with manual unique content (4 500-word articles per blog). These first 8 will have generic keywords for anchor text, like mysite.com, click here, etc.

Once those 8 are up, I have a diverse backlink profile. Then I will add one web 2.0 withkeyword1 as anchor text. Then another generic 2.0 with mysite.com as anchor. Then another 2.0 for keyword2. And so on. I'll repeat this until I rank.

How does it sound? Do you think it will be effective, or am I being too cautious? Are 4 articles per blog too much? What is an effective way to build my next tier? (I have already sent a few wikis and blog posts at my first tier1s)

Mostly to home ~70%. It is ok for such small numbers.

danailo what are your thoughts on tiered backlinking?
Is it too unnatural?

My website has jus 5-10 backlinks. Strong - relevant authoritative websites and social accounts :)

Where do you get these backlinks? Purchase high PR domains & strong social accounts?

Moreover, can you recommend some good places to buy high quality articles. I am sucked at outsourcing content. I don't mind paying more if the articles are awesome :)

It is not what it used to be. The idea of tiered link building is archaic. Yes I do power up my Tier 1 backlinks but is is more occasionally than a system. If you ask how - manual or semi-manual with relevant backlinks and if I build it myself - original content. I don't use spun content for lets call it Tier 2.

I will quote myself form another thread:

Not so long ago blasts were working directly on the money site. A lot of people abused it and it was over.
After that the trend was blasts to buffer Tier 1 again with great success. Then tier 2,3,4,5 etc were like Gillette commercials - every year they add one more blade to their razor

And we reached a point where widely used automated schemes/pyramids etc almost did't work or their value shrinked almost completely.

yurita - read the thread from the beginning.

I installed Adsense and just checked yesterday's earnings. 20 UV 55 impressions - 4cliks - $1.5 and monstrous RPM. It is normal for this niche.

First of all, its a nice experiment and everybody will learn something out of it.

Now let's get to your question- Your CTR is around 7-8% and for the very first day that you have posted, so it is fine. But if it remains like that even then it is fine. As CTR varies from niche to niche.I had a site which had CTR around 40-50% but the niche was like people coming to my site were actually looking for something desperately so they were clicking and probably converting for the advertisers. So I never had problem with that high CTR. I also had a site where people were looking for information and CTR was below 1%.
If the clicks are genuine and they convert for advertisers, there is no problem.

One more thing I saw that whenever I introduced Adsense on a site I usually got high CPC (which is low in your case) but after a day or two it went down and remained on an average.

I also noticed that my rankings usually went down after introducing Adsense, this was the case for 3-4 of my sites so now I always launch my site with Adsense on it.

Now it would be helpful to see what happens in your case.

Subscribed. All the best.

thanks for the case
