EMD - Case Study

Still ranking #5. I will need more linbuilding and time to climb higher as The Brand ranks at positions 1-4 :) I started another experiment a few weeks ago which will be interesting, will start a thread about it. It is about long-tails 700-20 000 monthly and articles 300-2000 words about every keyword. I hired one girl to make social buzz about it and no other SEO till now. A lot of keywords ranks top 15-10.

Excellent thread danailo, I love how your approach to ranking greatly mirrors my perspectives on the topic as well.
You are delivering quality content on a regular basis, intelligently utilizing the social networks, and naturally adding a few high PR backlinks slowly over time (rather than spamming 1000's of links everywhere constantly), yet still being proactive rather than just 'waiting for magic to happen' hoping that Google will bless you and users will stumble upon your content.

A question I have for you about FB \ G+: Are you using your real name \ information for these accounts? I posted a thread today (see my recent threads, cant post link) requesting some advice regarding having fake identities \ online aliases at such sites safely. Would greatly appreciate if you could take a moment of your time and chime in with your experiences.

Hi Danailo,

Congratulation on ranking at #5. I went through all of the post in this thread and got few questions for you:
1) How is your earning at rank #5? (You were at #7 for an hour and earned $4. Which means you are earning at least $4*24 = $96/day?)
2) So far you only use few high quality back link and lots of social signals accounts by yourself right?
3) Are you only using bank link to your main keywords article or all the article page which you publish?
4) Are you also ranking your sub-keyword (I mean articles pages, are you also ranking them with bank link and social accounts?)
I am confuse on how can we rank our main keyword with only one article because we can't post unique articles with same "main keyword" in URL and with same "main Keyword in Headline" again.

Please forgive me for my noobie questions but I have to start some where :). I will also read all the information which you mention on:

3. We build links to inner pages mostly
4. You need to spread linbuilding to all pages, they all link to homepage and will transfer some authority later on. Read again SEO Guide for Losers.

Find long-tail keyword in your big niche and create content around each one

You are creating related content for larger keywords in the niche.
You get natural social signals which also helps for overall rankings
You do not put all eggs in one basket. Your profits are less likely to drop significantly
Soon or later your ranking for bigger keywords in the niche will improve

Just shows how this place is much better than WaFo. I tried to do something along the same lines, not only did my thread get closed, but I also got accused of trying to be guru-worshipped.

My website hit #3 today. We will start a very powerful link building campaign from platforms which are not widely abused for seo purposes yet. it is not possible to climb higher since original brand site rank at #1-2-3 most times. I just want to stay at #3. That was my primary goal. Based on my calculations it will make ~ $200 a day when it ranks #3 in all Google data centers.

Great to hear that you were sucessful and hit #3 today. I will follow your lead and continue working on my strong PR 1 EMD instead of buying a general PR6 domain and try to rank with that one. This proved me that exact match domains still have power, so why waste money and time on a high PR authority domain when EMDs are still rankable? Thank you for the great case study. :D

EMD still work absolute wonders. I love that most people seem to think they are useless now because that leaves me some delicious EMD's :)

Damn I love EMD's too bad if you don't have much money they can really bankrupt you one day and make you crazy cash another...

I spend time researching business ventures with partners around EMD's and from there start a business around it.

Big Danialo! Nice work and great thread.

Been out of the game for a good year and am working my way back in. It's good to hear that SEO isn't dead. I have 4 EMDs that I've used a similar method with and ranked them between 20 - 10 with only 4-8 articles per site.

I'm going to move forward and use this method (slightly modified) with a non-emd which I hope to build into a "authority" site over time. This method should have it's own section in the forum as it uses both white and black hat methods!
