E-mail Lists + Clickbank Affiliate HELP

I've found about 2m e-mail addresses from myriad of internet sources. Is it legal to send Clickbank e-mail swipes to those people? For example let's say I target people from US. What are my chances of getting sued? I already receive tons of e-mail from companies I never gave permission. If there is anyone experienced in e-mail marketing, can you please help me? Also how much do you think that many e-mail addresses can earn? They aren't opted-in.

Thank you very much. You can't believe how much you have helped me. I've been going from forum to forum, thread to thread for 3 days now and this was the answer I was looking for. I was right about writing a thread myself. You're my hero now hahaha. Cheers.
