Dropshipping from Amazon Prime

To be honest most of my customers could care less that the item comes from Amazon. Many think you just used an Amazon box to ship the item. Out of the 3 months or so I have been doing this I have had 0 complaints in regards to the item coming in an Amazon box

Yes but this is sent directly from Amazon, so they will see that post mark does not match your item location. Also, it is not only the box, someone who ever ordered from Amazon can clearly see that the address label was printed by Amazon and not by you .....
And only one customer giving you bad feedback with low dsr may be enough to destroy your TRS status .....

Next thing, quite difficult and time consuming to find items sold for cheaper on Amazon than on eBay. Seller fees on Amazon are higher than on eBay, so why should someone sell there for lower if he has to pay more fees?

E.g. on another forum, somebody recommended to dropship dvds from Amazon to eBay buyers. How should this work?

Example 1: Die Hard 1-4 box set blu ray sells on eBay constantly for $29, price on Amazon $30
Example 2: Taken 2 blu ray sells on eBay for as low as $10, Amazon price $19.99

You are wrong in so so many ways bro. I have been doing this for months and it is working quite nicely. Like I said do not limit yourself to Amazon even tho Amazon works fine. There are tons of retailers out there that offer free shipping and that have low prices on their goods.

Also like I said the customers do not care that it is coming from Amazon from my experience. From the many items I and friends of mine have sold there were absolutely no complaints in regards to the Amazon packaging.

About finding products to list that you can make a buck on....just do what the power sellers are doing and under cut them slightly.

Here is a challenge for you: go to Amazon and find a popular item. Look at the image of the item( it will have a white background) now go to Ebay and search for that item (look for white background) you will find the SAME EXACT AMAZON image. Trust me you will find it because many people are doing this because it works man.

Let us all know what you find....lol

Hmmmmm .... it is a difference if someone sends an item bought an item on eBay in an Amazon box OR if the item bought on eBay is sent DIRECTLY from Amazon. Normally a buyer should clearly see the difference, at least I see it :D
If it sent directly from Amazon, I go to Amazon and see that I could have bought it there for cheaper and will not be amused ....
If nobody complained that means they did not see the difference that it has not been sent by you in Amazon packaging but it has been sent directly. Great if this works!

About the box, there IS a way to get it sent in a blank box. But this not Amazon Prime, it is multi channel fulfillment.

Also the fact that someone takes his eBay picture from Amazon does not have to mean he dropships from Amazon .... I also already used Amazon pictures for my eBay listings .....

Well once again from my experience this method works and works well. Just so you know there are hundreds if not thousands doing this on Ebay.

I mean why argue with me until you actually try it out bro? This has got to be the easiest money I have ever made online and the best part is it won't get saturated because of the fact that there are 1 billion products to sell.

Another thing you can do is go to walmart and search through their clearance items and check the price on Amazon (there is an Smartphone App for this) and sell the item on Amazon. This works good too
 
I use it to ship things to my friends all the time. They get the receipt though. Amazon does tend to ignore the gift option. It's not like they remove branding when you do that.

Yes, I really would like to try the method, but it is quite difficult to find items with lower prices on Amazon than on eBay. Have been searching now for the last hour, did not find anything. Either same price, or if lower, than only some bucks. If you add ebay fee then you won't make a profit.

How many items have you listed? if the answer is just a few then you have not taken action. you need to list a lot of products...as many as you can. My rule of thumb is to make at least 5$ per sale after fees. It doesn't sound like much but it is for the amount of time it takes to order the item you sold.

OK do not use Amazon to find your products. Use Sears or Buy.com they both have free shipping and prices are good.

here is another tip: The secret to Ebay is to create good titles. many sellers have shitty titles but still sell products. If you make a better title you will get the sale before they do. use this tool to make titles: http://www.labs.ebay.com

With Amazon prime, you cannot list a lot of items. It is against TOS to list even one item. However, you will get through with it, but definitely not if you sell too many items.
I cannot say how it will work with buy.com, overstock.com etc. I think, they also will become suspicious if someone orders from them 50 items a day and each one with a different shipping address, all from the same account.

Also to list a lot of products will take A LOT of time to find them, I did not succeed in finding even 5 items with a lower price, I tried on Amazon and overstock. Also they do have thousands of products, so where to start.

Ok like I said you need to find other sellers who are using Amazon or whatever and sell what they are selling. Make better titles and you will get the sales. regarding overstock.com...they are perfectly fine with people who are resellers. I know because they called me and told me so. You can sell and ship as much as you want from them with no problem whatsoever. You are making a lot of assumptions btw with out any real knowledge. So if you want to use this method stop over analyzing it and test it out bro. take action and find out for your self!

The basic question on this thread was, can you use Amazon Prime for dropshipping. And the answer is, you CAN, but in the end you will lose your prime account. Simpy because it is against their TOS. So this method won't work.
Now about overstock.com, thank you for the info, it is good to know that they do not have same restrictions as amazon prime and I can use them for dropshipping.
However, the main problem still remains. Which is finding products that are cheaper on overstock than on eBay. Again spent another hour, all items I checked were cheaper on eBay, some of them even WAY cheaper.
So this turns out to be very difficult, in fact I will spend the whole day looking for a product. And if I finally found one cheaper product, I will see that I only make $2-3 profit after fees. Thing is, there are so much Chinese sellers on eBay which sell every kind of product, and you will never undercut them, because they buy in volumes of 10,000 or 100,000 to get their low prices.

Well how I am I making the money I am then? Magic? No like I said it works and its all about the titles. You create better titles then the other sellers and you will get the sale before them even if you are priced higher than them. But enough of this....you will believe what you will and I can see you won't listen to sound advice but just find reasons why methods won't work. Its humorous to me really because you are so so wrong about most of the stuff you said.

Yes, it is true that a better title can lead to more sales. But the thing is RANKING. Chinese power sellers that sell thousand items a day have their listing ranked higher than me. And most people on eBay only look for first few search results, they do not browse 3 pages or more to find anything they already see for the lowest price on page 1.
I do not know about what I am so wrong. Everything I said about Amazon is a fact, you can find all the info on Amazon page or on other forums where people already tried this and failed. With failed I do not mean they did not make sales, I mean their accounts were suspended in the end.
Also it is competely true that it more than hard to find a product on overstock, buy otr wherever that is sold for such a low price compared to eBay that you will make a decent profit even after outrageous eBay and paypal fees.
I believe you make money and it works for you, however, I think you have spent quite much time to find products to list.
Your method WILL work if you find such a product. But I do not know where to start. I have an eBook somewhere on my harddisk talking abut using overstock.com as a dropshipper, and the product he used was some lawn mower.
This is not a product that sells every day, and I never sold in that niche, so I know nothing about it, and if I did not read about it I never would have an idea of searching for lawn mowers. So the ideal product is certainly there, but I cannot find it.

Ok look I am trying to help you. You need to find power sellers that are selling items from Amazon etc... Then you need to list those items that they have sold multiples of ( this lets you know there is a market for the item) build a better title and list it. Its a numbers game dude it is not just one or 2 items that you sell repeatedly. You should list as many items as you can. I am talking about hundreds of items. It takes me no more than 10 minutes MAX to find and list an item. I spend more time shipping sold items than I do listing them for sure.

Listen man like I said you are totally over analyzing this method. Just take it and run bro...you will get results.

But how would you know that he is dropshipping from Amazon? And if I have a better title then he, how would my listing be ranked better only because of this? I am not sure, but as far as I know and from my experience people alway look for lowest price. If you want to buy a logitech headphone, and one seller sells for $30 and the other for $25, from who would you buy?

This is some good info, been looking into this for a few months and know a person where I live that quit there day job and in December doing "exactly" what wmoriarty is explaining here. The thing I noticed is you need to be organized and have a game plan, because listing 100s or 1000s of items can a hard to keep up with price changes and remove items that have become unprofitable. But I know first hand this is very doable. I always think it's funny how people ooh and aah or think its not doable when you talk about doing some sort of arbitrage, but literally every retail store in the world does it. Hope this tread keeps going.

You list hundreds of products because this is the way you get sales. some will sell and some won't

I meant placing the orders not actually shipping the items.

The titles will allow you to show up in more searches and you might be the only one that is what the buyer is looking for.

That means you are not doing research first which products will sell, just list hundreds of random products?
So that means, I will work for 10-12 hours listing products, and in the end maybe only 10-20 of them will sell with a profit of $2 each?
Not really sure about this, this looks like A LOT of work and will be very time consuming and you do not know in advance if you will make any profit compared to the effort you expended.
