Dropshipping and Copyright infringement

So, have been dropshipping for a couple of months now, and today encountered some issues regarding a copyright infringement. I listed a decoration product with a pet image photo, (imported from aliexpress seller through oberlo) and after some ads and one sale I received a DMCA Takedown Notice from a shopify support e-mail, asking to take down my new item. I do so, but a couple of hours later, I received an e-mail from some upseat instagram account/shop owner, stating "We are informing you that we will be taking legal actions in this matter and we are discussing it with a lawyer. If you are interested in resolving this issue and have an idea of a reasonable compensation we are glad to hear it"
Is this a bluff to make some cash? Can they actually sue me? By the way, I'm from a Latin-American country, so I ignore how an international copyright sue would work.
What should I do? simply point in the aliexpress supplier direction? (since I'm simply distributing their copied product) Should I answer the e-mail at all?
Any thoughts on this would be super helpful.

I would say this is BS, never ever try to pay these scumbags. Basically it's kinda extortion. If the product is not availabe in your store (or changed the image) you can just ignore them.

True, it's just another day at the office , find similar products and work bro, and ignore them

ask them for solid proof that your image is there image .....

you want the full patent proof.....

then if proven remove it
