Does this sound like an idea to you?

Ya, my only thoughts would be that they're 12 and might ask their parents for money or something similar and a few parents might start asking some questions, school gets involved, find out you're pretty much scamming the kids (using free hosting and charging them) and then you have a whole bag of issues on your hands.

i think what everyone has said above is valid points, plus u got to think does everyone really want a website anyway? i mean what the hell are 12 year old kids going to want websites for?

rapperRS: Maybe they want to show their parents what they have made?

everyone else: Didn't think of it that way.....:o.....

I think its a great idea and your entrepreneurial spirit was positively encouraged in my old school.. However some earlier posters have made valid points about how modern schools have to protect themselves from Irate parents....Keep that in mind and dont get into any trouble. Its not going to cost you so lower your prices and make less profit which is justifiable as you are providing a service........Long term thinking once you get some people signed up and you are the go to guy for hosting etc then you can earn while you learn.

the idea is good
but like others have said, 12 year olds don't have the funds

it's not a scam, it's the basic principle of business. Buy low sell high. I think it's a good idea or at least a good thinking for a 12 yo.

Yeah... I doubt funds are a problem. Everyone carry's money because the school never tells us when we need it. Also they always buy sweets so I know they have money.

Do it and make a post called:
